The Roost

Perfect for a holiday.

Pros: Really lovely accommodation, bottle of mead waiting as a welcome for us, which was lovely. Very clean with everything needed for a holiday stay. Nice and quiet. Hosts very welcoming. This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning.

Cons: Nothing to not like.

Pros: Nice friendly welcome and a great source of knowledge for navigating the roads and place's to visit and eat. Good location with in easy distance of place's but out of the center so very quiet. Has all utilities needed for a couple if you wish to stay in and cook or make meals to takeout during the day. A little away from pubs so you need to drive or taxi but only a few minutes so wasn't no problem.

Great location and a peaceful area.

Pros: Easy access to many places from there. Well equipped and maintained. Clean and we felt looked after. Welcome treats and flowers. Very friendly hosts.

Pros: Comfortable, cosy and clean. Most welcome treats in the welcome pack. A great location with a fantastic owl.

A little piece of heaven in the Cornish countryside!

Pros: Superb central country location, with lovely views - peaceful and restores the soul. The Roost is immaculate, clean and extremely comfortable with a true Cornish cottage feel. Outstanding hosts Belinda and Alan are so kind and caring - I cannot thank them enough for their kindness throughout my stay. Scrumptious welcoming traditional Cornish cream tea and a beautiful vase filled with bright happy fresh yellow roses! My only disappointment was that I did not stay longer! This little 'Roost' is one of Cornwall's best kept secrets!

Perfect hosts, perfect location for our needs, perfect property.

Pros: We were met by the owner who was very obliging and helpful, a cream tea had been laid out for us which was such a lovely surprise and unexpected. Everything was perfect, the property was easy to find and the location was just what we needed. We will definitely be returning. The owl and parrot was an added bonus too, not every day you stay in a property that has such exotic birds.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The welcome Cornish Cream tea and Flowers,fruit,milk.Very quiet and spacious for two people and wellcome from a friendly owl and parrot.

Pros: The owners had thoughtfully laid a table for us with a cream tea and a bottle of Prosecco.

A comfortable retreat, just what we needed in lovely surroundings.

Pros: We were welcomed to The Roost with a lovely cream tea all laid out along with a bottle of Proseco . What a locely welcome, and The Roost was in a perfect location for us. Close to family. The Roost had almost everything we needed. Very bright & Cheerful, with lovely soft furnishings. The emphasis is on comfort, and cleanliness, just what you need from a holiday let. Set in a lovely garden, with it's own private outdoor space, with a Barbeque area. Our hosts were very welcoming & friendly.

Cons: Our personal choice is to have a larger shower, as we have at home, and the Roost shower was a standard square. I am only 5ft, and found the mirror above the Bathroom sink too high. I could only see the top of my head if I stepped back. There was also a shelf under the mirror, but it got in the way when cleaning your teeth, as the sink was quite shallow. Fine for washing your hands.

Pros: I loved everything, it was comfortable, and had everything I needed. Great location, tucked away from hustle and bustle but a short drive to the towns and villages when wanting to indulge. Garden was lovely and had my own sun terrace to lounge around on, with bbq. Parking was next to property, safe and secure. Beautiful and peaceful. Owners close by too, available for help if necessary. Would highly recommend.

Cons: It is an older property, but well cared for. Didn’t like the weather!… it rained.. lol But no matter enjoyed my time
