Finest Retreats - Tregatreath

Lovely for big family gathering. Would go back!

Pros: Great location, lovely big rooms and very nicely furnished with lots of quality antique furniture. Beautiful wild garden and lovely landscaping and plants. The sun terrace really sunny in the mornings. Easy walk to beach in Coverack for swims and for pubs/good fish and chips etc. Plenty of parking and outdoor space.

Cons: Some rooms need a bit of modernisation like the kitchen. And the dining table not big enough to seat 9 of us. We had to use both tables. Would have been nice to use the dining room next to the kitchen but this was locked. We struggled a bit with the Aga too. Also if there was a way to get an additional shower room (downstairs perhaps?) that would be a real bonus. 9 people waiting for 1 shower took a long time!

Glorious location, beautiful house

Pros: It's a glorious house in a fabulous location - nearer the lovely village of Coverack than we were expecting, which was a bonus, and we could walk in. Beds so comfortable, and rooms so spacious. Very well equipped as regards machines - laundry, dishwasher and so on. Lots of great toys for small children, beautiful wood burner for autumn and winter evenings. Gorgeous garden with neat lawns near the house and a wild expanse. Odd and sad to have the disused swimming pool and we wish them luck with recommissioning it in the future.

Cons: I know that other reviews have mentioned how few dining chairs there are in the kitchen considering how many the house is targeted at. If you don't hear this has been remedied, maybe bring a few folding ones of your own. And this seems petty, but the towels are startlingly small - don't wrap sufficiently to make the walk from the one bathroom to the bedrooms a modest experience. Bring your own? Not really what you want I know!

Pros: Przepiękny widok, ogromny piękny ogród, duża przestrzeń do wspólnego spędzania czasu. Przestronne pokoje i jednocześnie przytulne. Możliwość korzystania z kominka. Dobry kontakt z właścicielami. Dobrze wyposażona kuchnia.

Cons: Wąska droga dojazdowa. Drzwi zewnętrzne można otworzyć tylko przy pomocy klucza (1 komplet) - jednocześnie dobrze, bo bezpiecznie, ale w razie nieopatrznego zostawienia kluczy w środku, nie ma możliwości ponownego wejścia.

We hebben twee fantastische weken gehad in dit prachtige huis, ook al zijn er wat verbeterpunten te noemen.

Pros: De ligging is perfect, het huis is heel ruim en de tuin is feitelijk een park. Op loopafstand van het gezellige dorp en een prachtig uitzicht op zee.

Cons: Een fijne grote tuin zonder tuinstoelen is jammer. Slechts 1 badkamer, dat is onhandig voor een groep. Sloten op toiletten werken niet. De AGA is lastig te bedienen en er zijn wat weinig pannen. Er is geen koffiezetapparaat, dat is echt een gemis. Vloerbedekking is lastig schoon te houden.
