Tranquil Retreat at River Valley Country Park

Pros: Beautiful quiet area, surrounded by nature. The caravan was very cosy and clean.

Beautiful stay

Pros: Claire was absolutely amazing. It was our honeymoon and we were having a disastrous time camping so booked this last minute to try and save our honeymoon. From the first message Claire was kind and understanding and couldn't do enough to help. The lodge was clean, tidy and had great facilities. The park itself is extremely quiet and peaceful with a designated dog walking field that's huge. We will definitely return!

Lovely for dogs and owners!

Pros: Beautiful situation, quiet and peaceful. Had everything we needed as a couple of seventy-something dog owners! Dog walking facility perfect.

Cons: One or two kitchen items had seen better days or were missing (corkscrew) and could do with replacing but this is a very minor niggle.

Amazing place for a nice quiet staycation!

Pros: Great quiet location perfect for couples, caravan was very nice and roomy and suited us exactly for what we needed for a getaway.

Cons: Only small issue was the cutlery and kitchen items were a bit grubby so had to rewash everything before we used them.

Pros: The caravan was immaculately clean, had everything you could need, even the lovely addition of games to play in the cupboard! The location was so peaceful and quiet and an easy drive to everywhere you could need to get to. We come to cornwall numerous times a year and this is hands down the best place we’ve stayed. Will definitely be back!

Perfect little gem

Pros: Set in a peaceful location, surrounded by trees and fields along the river Hayle. Lovely quiet small park. You do need a car to get about, but you are close to all the Cornish tourists spots, 20 to mins drive to St Ives/Lands End. Only 10 mins to St Michael's Mount and Penzance. The accommodation is well equipped with essentials. The host Claire is always available if you need anything. We hope to return again soon. We will also recommend to friends and family. A little bonus was a fish and chip van that came on site on Saturday eve as there's no shops or cafe's on site. I believe it's every Saturday, you can check details at reception.

Cons: You are quite a distance from shops, so it's worth getting what you need when you're out and about to save going out again. We did know this, and we were prepared, but this might help others depending on what you want from a holiday stay. There are no negatives about Claire's accommodation. It has everything you need.
