Great location, comfortable place once you've found it.
Pros: The location is great, and the house very comfortable. It was as presented, not fancy, but totally fine for our needs as a family.
Cons: The instructions to find the house could be clearer - there are two private roads parallel that the post code leads you to, and they both have similar white houses at the end 'behind a gate' - one being a private residence who were kind enough to explain how to find the Folly on the next road up - they have clearly had to point others there too! There were a LOT of emails both through booking.com and all the same ones from the lettings company repeating all the same info multiple times which was unnecessary. In the house there is a heating unit that looks and sounds like a dishwasher which is on most of the time which is mildly annoying, but not enough to stop us staying here again if we wanted to revisit the same area, and it was good for the price. Yes, there was bird poo on the patio doors (others have complained), not sure there's much the lettings company can do about that honestly! And we found the bed very comfy - it's on the firm side.

The Folly is a great place to stay in Port Issac
Pros: The property is light and airy, and very comfortable, nicely situated with quick walk to harbour and pubs. Kitchen was very well equipped and having car parking was an added bonus. unfortunately it rained for most of our stay so didn’t really get full use of the patio. Overall cute and comfortable. The fact that books were supplied to list ideal places to visit etc came in very useful. Best seafood restaurant and pizza restaurant right on your doorstep.
Cons: I did feel that a bit of reconfiguration would have added heaps to the property. it would have been nice to have sea views from the bed had it been facing the window. and sofa facing looking out too downstairs rather than facing the kitchen. Also thought actual hidden wardrobe space would have been welcome but that’s just being picky. I would stay here again but the 9.30am departure time for leaving I felt was way too early especially as we were a little under the weather and didn’t want to rush. Little hidden extras would have been nice, ie hand soap, bath gel etc.

wonderful short stay in Port Isaac with our dog, enjoyed long (difficult) walks and fantastic food, friendly locals and
Pros: Lovely cottage, very comfortable, clean and on site parking which is a rarity in Port Isaac. the location is fantastic only 5 mins into centre of village and also close to Port Gaverne. view of sea from bedroom on top floor
Cons: very little to not like
