We were celebrating a family birthday and even although the weather wasn’t great, the house was cosy and comforting.

Pros: It was in a beautiful location, had everything that you could possibly need. A delicious welcome pack which included freshly baked scones was a great touch.

Cons: Nothing!

A perfectly peaceful clifftop escape

Pros: The weather turned wild over the weekend, which made our stay at Cancleave even more unforgettable. Watching the waves crash below from the comfort of the cosy living room made the storm feel magical rather than inconvenient. The house itself is beautifully designed, spacious, warm, and full of little luxury touches that made us feel instantly at home. Pat, our host, was incredibly helpful and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It’s the perfect retreat, rain or shine. The house is located in a beautiful and historic part of Cornwall, close to Boscastle and Tintagel and just down the road from Bude, with its amazing tidal sea pool and lots of good restaurants and take aways. We will be back!

Gorgeous house

Pros: Very lovely house and facilities. Perfect for a family get together of 4 generations. In a great location on the coast path with gorgeous sea views.
