The Escape

The perfect, Cornish coastal retreat.

Pros: Thank you so much to Gary and Katy for providing the perfect coast path stopover, although we wished we could have staying longer than the one night! The Escape was beautiful - gorgeously decorated and so homely, with a lovely pack of welcome biscuits, milk in the fridge, teas and coffee - with its own pretty, private patio too. No surprise to hear visitors in neighbouring cottages come back regularly here. We will return! Bev and Kenny

Cons: Nothing at all - this place goes beyond all expectations and is a world away from the drab, dreary and functional accommodation types everywhere, devoid of any colour or personal touches.

Pros: Great communication prior to arrival, we were met by the owners, and they dropped by on a second occasion to ensure all was well. They even offered us a lift to and from the local pub! A gorgeous annex, it is tastefully decorated with a comfortable bed and beautifully clean throughout. The private outdoor space with table and chairs is full of flowers and offered privacy. We only stayed one night as were walking a section of the SW coastpath. Just a 3 minute detour the accomodation is perfectly situated. The location, on a farm with other equally tastefully restored holiday accommodation, is very tranquil, and quiet. We had everything we needed, absolutely loved The Escape, can recommend and will be back.

Pros: Katie was a lovely host and couldn’t have done more for us. Lovely quiet place and an ideal stop over for walkers.
