Swallows Nest at Widemouth Bay - 2 bedroom cottage

Wonderful stay!!

Pros: We loved everything about the property. Everything we hoped for and more.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.

I can honestly say that this is the best cottage I have ever stayed in.

Pros: The cottage was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. It had everything you need and we felt comfortable and at home immediately. The location is amazing, excellent for accessing the beach and Bude. Gemma, the host, was very responsive to any messages.

Cons: I can’t fault it at all.

Pros: Everything. It was spotless. The attention to detail was exceptional. An absolutely stunning place to stay at.

Pros: The property has high specification of appliances. It was very clean. There was excellent explanation of how to enjoy your stay at the property..

Cons: To be honest, I am struggling to think of anything which is relevant and within the remit of the hosts.

Pros: The location is perfect for us, we’ve stayed previously and came back again due to this, plus the property is so well finished with exceptional cleanliness, and much higher quality than you’d expect for the price. The owners have done an amazing job of preparing this (and the other) properties. We highly recommend!

Absolutely Fabulous

Pros: The most stunning property. A perfectly thought out barn restoration which has been equipped to the absolute highest standards. We loved every minute of our stay. Black Rock beach is a stroll through the fields away and is dog friendly with an amazing café and fantastic surf. Just the most wonderful location and the most beautiful property. Thanks for the beautiful stay Gemma.

Cons: If I had to find a niggle the headboard squeaks - a lot 😂 But honestly one of the loveliest properties I have stayed in!

Lovely house, great location

Pros: A lovely holiday home, beautiful and comfortable throughout. Outside shower and drying racks for wetsuits and beach wear an excellent extra! Shower was warm too, great for washing off the sand rather than walking it through the house! Peaceful location, lovely little walk down to Widemouth Bay, about 1 km, great for a morning walk and swim.

Cons: Could have done with some cupboard space in the kitchen for non-fridge food, we had to keep it on the work surface. Not a disaster, but not ideal.

Pros: Beautiful cottage, high quality and well appointed interior, spotlessly clean. Gemma is a lovely host, friendly and helpful. Great location close to beach and pub.

Cons: Only the dodgy English weather!

A beautiful well thought out and styled property in a great location

Pros: This is such a beautifully renovated property to stay at and exceptional quirky details in the fixtures and fittings. All appliances and furniture were high end and quality too, all well equipment to cook and prep food which made the stay nice. Great location with Bude just a couple of miles away and Widemouth Bay and the Beach House our fav restaurant just round the corner too and walking distance. Great to explore further into Cornwall too. The owners were so lovely and welcoming too, we will be back!

Cons: Just the weather, which is out of the owners control 😉

Pros: Fantastic location only 15min walk through paths and fields to widemouth bay. Accommodation was lovely and clean with everything you needed including outdoor shower for when we got back from bodyboarding or if the dogs were mucky. Super little spot.
