The Captain’s 4 Bed Penthouse

Pros: The location was really good, excellent view and very close to the cafes and shops. The apartment was well stocked with games and very homely. Kitchen very well stocked.

Cons: One of the bedrooms was a mezzanine in the roof space. It was okay but should be included in the description.

Pros: The Captain's 4 Bed Penthouse was a lovely place to stay. The owner had thought about everything that you might need whilst on holiday. It was also clean and well furnished. It was handy for shops, cafés, restaurants, etc, and Fowey itself is a lovely place to see. I would definitely go back.

Cons: The only downside was that you couldn't park outside, so we had to leave the car in a car park, which was up a very steep hill. The car park cost £10 a day which isn't too dear.

We loved Fowey and its facilities, and the apartment was excellently located and provisioned.

Cons: As 2 adults sleeping in separate beds, we thought the upper bedroom would be larger (stated as 2 single beds), but they were not much more than cushioned camp beds in a very hot roofspace. The main bedroom was fine, but one adult had to sleep in the open plan living area on the sofa bed.

Pros: Great cooking facilities, lovely view of the harbour, a minute's walk from the nearest restaurants and pubs, great decor and lots of comfy chairs. Be warned that a degree of fitness is required as Fowey is essentially one big hill, the apartment is at the bottom and the car park is at the top. We managed fine but elderly guests may struggle a bit.

Pros: We were sad to leave this beautiful, airy, comfortable flat, watching the boats in the harbour come and go from our balcony window. Fowey is a magical place, and the Captain’s Penthouse was the perfect base for exploring the village and beyond. We loved it here.

Beautiful Fowey accommodation for our family, long walks each morning and relaxing afternoons.
