Beachcomber

An excellent place to spend a fortnight. Shame about the parking situation.

Pros: The location was excellent, flat was beautifully clean and well appointed. Helpful owner and good input from support staff (bed change and prompt attendance at departure). Easy access to beach. Main road outside not very busy so easy to cross. There was a children's playground opposite. Play-noise was not an issue - lovely to hear and was well populated.

Cons: The parking. It seems there are fewer spaces for apartments. Some occupants of other properties were owners and kept a close eye on the parking issue, approaching on a couple of occasions as we had to park out of the bays as there was just insufficient space. (I sensed they were a tad fed up with this). This was also worse on 1 day as workmen were on the premises for maintenance or similar. We were advised that we could park down the road in a public car park if no spaces available but this was not an option. I do not leave my car overnight in a public car park. The costs were also exhorbitant. The parking places available were small - unless you have a Kia or Punto or something similar (we have an estate car), there is a high risk that you will scrape your car on the low level wall to exit the car park! We did - twice and in discussion with others parking at the time they had too - evidenced. Not happy bunnies! If you are able to park you will need to reverse out onto the main road as there is pretty much no space to turn around - dangerous manoeuvre. Suggest, the narrative for the property should show 'no parking'. If you want to secure a place - need to return by 5 p.m. and not go out again, severely limiting options for meals in the evenings. Parking spaces should be allocated to permanent residents. I wonder whether there is an option to negotiate with the property next door for some numbered bays - there certainly enough space to mark off a few places! I did message the owner of the property to ask about contact details for the Management Committee but did not receive a response. We would not return to this property for this reason. Such a shame as otherwise all was well.

Small apartment overlooking St Michael’s Mount

Pros: Brilliant location in village of Marazion - no buildings between us and sea - Mount Bay beautiful Apartment perfectly comfortable for two and well equipped

Excellently equipped and maintained.

Pros: Beautifully clean with lovely accessories. So good to find a flat with a bath too. Perfect location and very comfortable. Nice to have the owner nearby. Most sincere compliment: we are booking for next year already!

Cons: Shame you can't quite see all the island, with a tree between. But so quick to go down to the beach.

Charming, great location

Pros: Charming, clean, well equipped, good linen & unlimited hot water in a cosy apartment with great views, opposite the beach. A lovely welcome gift too. What's not to like?!

Pros: Spotless. Charming apartment with everything thought of. Lovely outlook with a useful terrace, table & chairs and airondeck chairs. Great to have both a dishwasher and a washing machine.

Cons: The comfy bed could have been wider as the bedroom is a generous size. TV reception was flaky. Not much, really!

Really enjoyed our stay, the view was amazing!

Pros: Gorgeous downstairs apartment with everything you could need for a few days away and so close to the beach too!
