Goonearl Simply Stay

Pros: A gem of a place, there is everything there (and more) to make staying at Goonearl feel like a home from home.

nice stay in a friendly clean environment but not for everyone.

Pros: great welcome and lovely owners. location was ideal for us. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and pans.

Cons: owners used the lounge on a Sunday for their own family which meant we couldn't relax in there. They also cooked and used the kitchen, although it wasn't an issue for us, having a family there using the same facilities was a bit off putting and made us a little uncomfortable. They were lovely people but it meant we wanted to just cook and eat then retire to our room when we really wanted to relax in front of the fire with a glass of wine. They stated they had a family get together every Sunday. Not sure we would want to have to cook if the place was full as there could have been a wait for the kitchen due to space.

Perfectly warming stay, exactly as advertised.

Pros: Superbly warming staff, kitchen had everything needed for a self sufficient stay, extremely clean, rooms just what was advertised, location perfect for where we needed.

Cons: N/A. Did everything it advertised.

Pros: Very comfy and homely. Lovely quiet area and easily accessible to get down to the beach and great coastal walking.

Cons: I can't really think of anything, we were very satisfied.

A very comfortable stay.

Pros: We have stayed here before and the location for us is spot on. Fantastic communal areas lounge, dinning room and kitchen.

Cons: Bedroom a little small for us and our dog.

Very nice house with lovely staff.

Pros: The room was very nice and cosy, and great facilities for making tea. We liked the little dog Grumble and the property was overall really nice and a great location for what we needed.

Cons: The only thing I can really think about is the wifi didn’t really work properly. This didn’t really bother us as we were busy but might be something to consider for guests who are staying longer. I’m not sure if it was a capacity thing with too many guests using the wifi, or if it was the service or something.

Pros: Well-equipped kitchen, good location to expore Cornwall.

Cons: Room is small, nowhere to hang clothes and towel.

Loved staying here. Wonderful kitchen & relaxing space downstairs. Conveniently located just off A30. Easy check-in.

Pros: Great location. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely space downstairs. Felt very homely. B&B vibe without having to worry about coming back late!

Quiet peaceful stay

Pros: We had a really lovely stay at Goonearl. The place was welcoming, clean, and very peaceful, a great place to relax. The room itself was big enough for the two of us, as we were out most of the day, anyway. There’s a nice lounge to unwind and some fun games available to play. The large dining area, big fridge/freezer, and fully equipped kitchen made meals easy, and having a washing machine on site was very convenient, although we didn't use it during our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!

Cons: The only small downside was that the double bed felt a bit too small for two average-sized adults, so a larger bed would make it perfect.

Brilliant well within budget

Pros: Very quiet, nice and clean, very comfortable, kitchen has all mod cons, staff were brilliant plenty of room for car parking 6 miles from Truro so good access all round
