Lovely well equipped cottage - perfect base for exploring Cornwall

Pros: Beautifully decorated and very well equipped 2 bedroomed cottage close to Charlestown harbour which is a World Heritage Site and with sea views from main bedroom. Warm friendly welcome from the owner on arrival who explained where everything was. Very clean and tidy with the bonus of a little courtyard garden at the back. Would love to come back again and spend some more time exploring the area, we stayed here so mother-in-law could a zip wire over the Eden Project to celebrate her 90th birthday.

What we expect for a week's holiday in UK

Pros: Historic location sad that refurbishment to harbour gates still in progress.

Cons: The weather signalled that summer was over

we had a fabulous stay and Carole was a lovely host

Pros: The perfect location, walking distance from many great restaurants. Great locations also for exploring Cornwall. The cottage is very cosy, clean and the kitchen well equipped.

Cons: Just opposite the cottage is a great restaurant, unfortunately the kitchen and more so the extractor fan is facing the house. In the evening there is quite a bit of humming coming from it. It stops around 11pm.

Beautiful well equipped house, with a fabulous garden split grass and patio. Fabulous friendly hosts

Pros: Excellent facilities, great location, really lovely and friendly hosts.

Cons: If we had one gripe, it was that we found the mattress in the main bedroom was very soft for us. Wouldn’t stop us booking again though.

Comfortable, quiet and well appointed with all facilities.

Pros: Loved the period style of the cottage but it had everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. It's set back from the main road with easy parking right outside and only a short walk away from the beach, shops and eating places.

Cons: There wasn't anything not to like. We loved it!

Pros: Sehr nette Gastgeber, die uns jederzeit unterstützt haben. Einrichtung sehr stilvoll, Ausstattung der Küche hervorragend! Gute Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, z.B. zum nahegelegenen Eden Project, Gastronomie fußläufig. Coastal Path direkt vor der Haustüre ohne Anreise mit dem Auto. Mietwagenverleih in St.Austell, so dass eine Anreise mit der Bahn möglich ist. Eigener Parkplatz beim Haus.

Cons: Das Wetter, aber darauf hatten unsere netten Gastgeber keinen Einfluss. Das Geräusch der Lüftung des Restaurant schräg gegenüber war leider bis ca. 22.30 am Abend im Schlafzimmer zu hören. Da es nur die Rückseite des Restaurants ist, gibt es allerdings von Gästen selbst keinerlei Lärmbelästigung.
