Blackbird Cottage

Pros: Lovely area, lovely facilities. The kids loved the splash pool. The shared gardens were really well kept. It had a private patio with furniture. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and milk was a nice touch.

Cons: The double bed was uncomfortable in no 98. It had a wooden surround with the mattress sat inside so it was difficult to get out as the surround of the bed was higher than the mattress. They allow you to have a dog at the property but the private patio was not fenced in on all sides so the dog had to be kept on lead all the time. (I knew they'd have to be on lead in the shared garden but it wouldn't be difficult to make it possible for the dogs to be able to be off lead on the patio.

Pros: Location great for our needs . Clean and cosy cottage.

Really well equipped and presented property perfect for our short stay.

Pros: We popped down to see our son at uni and give the dog a good beach walk for a few days. The location was great, property was a great size very clean and really well equipped. Lovely!

Cons: For us the bed was terrible- very uncomfortable mattress which interfered with sleep. It was also very hot downstairs but this was minor. The drive up and down to the property would be a nightmare in the summer but ok in October. Other minor niggles (really minor and for feedback only) the tv screen was failing and we couldn’t find a teapot!

Very enjoyable (apart from the vacuum cleaner experience)

Pros: Lovely location, quiet, beautiful gardens handy parking. Well appointed kitchen with good cooking utensils. Comfortable beds, spotless linen and bathrooms.

Cons: Not a lot but we were asked to leave as found and so tried vacuuming the floors. The vacuum cleaner emitted a terrible stench and clearly needs attention.

Pros: Quiet location close to a beach. Comfy accommodation.

Cons: Sofa in the lounge needs replacing. Lacking in some items e.g. mugs, glasses.

Pros: We felt at home in blackbird cottage, it was clean, had everything you need

Cons: If I had to say the only thing that wasn’t overly comfortable was the sofa, the bottom cushion kept sliding forward which was annoying. But that’s my only criticism

Nice but a bit basic.......

Pros: The house is set in a really nice area with good facilities including a little bar/cafe and swimming pool. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help.

Cons: Everything in the house is just a little basic and some of it looked tired. The sofa and chair wasn't the most comfortable and fitted sheets are needed on the bed to stop you having to make it 7 times in the night. A nice smart TV would be a good addition to allow for Netflix login etc.

Great property - great location - will return.

Pros: Well decorated and equipped, very clean and in beautiful surroundings. Excellent location. Aliki very helpful.

Cons: Couldn’t locate the property - could do with both the number and name on all comms. ( not a big issue)

Pros: Clean property that had everything we needed. Complimentary tea, coffee milk & biscuits on arrival was a nice touch.

Cons: Bed had a few lumps in it, but that said still managed to sleep once adjusted position.

Pros: I'm originally from Falmouth and love Meanporth and Swanpool so couldn't ask for a better location. The cottage was a good size for all our needs as a family of 3, very clean and had everything we needed. Son enjoyed the basketball/tennis court. Nice outdoor area which felt secluded.

Cons: Some furniture is tired and could be updated but it was all fit for purpose
