The perfect peaceful escape.

Pros: A peaceful lodge setting really can make all the difference especially when it’s fully equipped and you don’t have to think about a thing. Being able to step away from the noise and routine of everyday life was just what the doctor ordered.

Pros: Lovely comfortable and cosy. Gorgeous setting Good facilities - everything we needed easily available.

Beautiful

Pros: We loved the privacy. Nick was a superb host and helped us when he could. The lodge is cozy, well-equipped, and eco-friendly. The view from it is beautiful, and even though it rained the entire time, with the log fire burning, we were content and happy. We did have our last night ruined but we would still love to go back again.

Cons: The last day was ruined by strong winds and rain, causing a tree to fall and cut off all power. We were down to our last log for the fire, so we went to bed really early, at 8:30 PM, awake and staring into nothing. We didn't get to enjoy the last bit of our time there. It wasn't the owners' fault at all, but it did dampen our last night there

Amazing stay in a magical cottage

Pros: Amazing location, very peaceful right next to a river. Its was magical. Enjoyed evening sitting next to wood fire stove. Very thoughtfully decorated mill with modern facilities yet keeping old character intact. It offers a unique atmosphere where history and luxury coexist.

What an Amazing place to stay

Pros: This property is outstanding a credit to the current owners . The grounds are spectacular

Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was the mobile phone coverage but it’s the same in a lot of places in Cornwall

Excellent lodge accommodation

Pros: Two weeks in the Lodge. Really great accommodation with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was clean and quality. The location was extremely peaceful, quiet and very scenic. Nick and Sally were great hosts. Liskeard was a short easy drive away and both Morrisons and Aldi supermarkets just 10 minutes drive for provisions. Liskeard station on the main line was easy to drive to and park. Ideal to catch the train to Looe or Plymouth instead of driving. Would highly recommend for a couple or single.

Wonderful accommodation, a great and tranquil escape

Pros: The location is close to Liskeard and main roads for getting out and about. The setting is fabulous, a beautiful spot, extremely peaceful and quiet. The Lodge is perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway or just to escape from the everyday. Everything you need is here and the use of the log burner stove makes it so cozy. A very comfortable bed, quality bedding and towels add to the overall comfort. Sitting out under the veranda (even when its raining) overlooking the woodland stream is magical. The owners are really lovely and so helpful. I would definitely recommend highly.

Pros: We stayed in the mill for four nights and it was fantastic. The location is magical - you are tucked away and feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but then you can get out to the A38 very easily to explore further afield. The hosts have thought of everything in terms of practicalities with the accommodation and it was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay again.
