Pros: Excellent location, clean cottage with everything you need for two people. Stairs steep if you've reduced mobility, but that's how they built them then!

Comfortable cottage, easy walk from central Lostwithiel
Pros: Cosy, but comfortable and well appointed - fine for two tall people. Helpful owners. Good location, opposite a pub for food (but not noisy), and an easy walk to town centre across the old bridge. (Picnic tables by the lovely river!) The cottage has its own parking spot off the small lane just behind the property - our estate car fit in fine.
Cons: To note: you need to be able to climb a few steepish stairs to the bedroom (there is a handrail) and also down the garden steps to the back entrance from the car. (Fine for us, however.)

Bridgend Cottage was a great find and a great base with which to explore Cornwall.
Pros: This cottage is clean, comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. There are several really good local pubs and a variety of restaurants. All this is set within a very picturesque village and within a gentle 10 mins walk. The Globe in particular serves excellent locally sourced and reasonably priced food. Local station is 5 min walk and runs to Truro - links through to major towns/locations. Small Supermarket in the village with major supermarkets 10 min drive away in Bodmin. Hosts were very helpful and incredibly friendly as were all the pub and restaurant owners.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike about Bridgend Cottage. It is a single bed cottage, so don’t expect a sprawling house but it was perfect for us as a couple for 7 nights. Had it been more centrally located in Cornwall it would have reduced some of the travelling to see the various sights but then we would not have had the pleasure of evenings in Lostwithiel. If/when we return to Cornwall we would definitely look to use Bridgend Cottage as a base.
