Luxury Couple's Getaway with River Views and Parking

A Hidden Gem by the River in Beautiful Polperro.

Pros: Staying here felt like stepping into the very soul of Cornwall. Perfectly positioned in the heart of Polperro, the cottage captures everything you hope for in a traditional coastal escape while delivering a level of comfort and finish that genuinely stands above many places I have stayed across Cornwall. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the shower was powerful and refreshing, and the kitchen was beautifully finished and fully equipped to a very high standard. It strikes the rare balance of character and quality, where historic charm meets modern living effortlessly. One of my favourite memories was spending slow afternoons in the window seat, book in hand, watching the River Pol quietly drift past the cottage. Peaceful, timeless, and deeply relaxing.

Pros: Beautiful cottage with perfect location. Very cosy. Lovely ground level shower.

Cons: Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible but inside is all ground level. Perfect if mobility is a slightly compromised.

Perfect

Pros: Very modern but could still see the character of the property. Perfect for a couple. Had everything you needed and very clean.

Cons: Finding the free car parking apace was a little challenging but we found it on the second day. Is up a ver very steep hill, but that’s Cornwall lots of hills.

Very enjoyable stay.

Pros: Although we arrived by train because I know the restrictions in Polperro I would advise not arriving in a large car as you may regret it. The property was as expected in the pictures, very nice.

Cons: Very noisy holiday people above us which went on into 2-3 in the morning which was not the fault of our hosts but was unexpected. Also building work on the property opposite the front door did not help during the day. Polperro looked very tied and scruffy from my previous visits.

Perfect stay in Polperro hidden gem

Pros: We had such a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Polperro. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by our host, who had thoughtfully left us a some Cornish goodies — such a lovely touch that instantly made us feel at home. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and full of character. Its location is perfect — tucked away just enough to enjoy peace and quiet, yet still within easy walking distance to Polperro’s lovely harbour, shops, and pubs. One of the absolute highlights was the serene stream that flows just behind the bedroom. And the shower — wow! It was powerful and refreshing, with a bamboo forest-style design that added a surprising touch of luxury and calm. Everything about our stay felt relaxing and restorative. If you're looking for a peaceful, well-located escape with a host who truly cares, this place is a gem. We can’t wait to return!

A wonderful short stay in an absolutely delightful little apartment.

Pros: My partner and I had a fantastic stay here for a long weekend in Polperro. The little apartment is perfect for a couple stay and is very cosy. The bed is comfortable, and the bedroom also has a lovely view out over the river. The lounge area is also very nice and homeley, and the small kitchen is perfect for a shorter stay. The bathroom is also very nice and clearly newly renovated and was wonderful. Checking in and collecting the keys was very easy. My partner was absolutely delighted with the place and the location is also perfect, less than 2 minutes from the harbour, pubs and restaurants in Polperro. The property is also extremely clean and well maintaind. Thank you for a wonderful stay I reccomend this place 100%.

Cons: We were not quite sure on the exact location of the parking or the flat so this took a little bit of guesswork but once we had kept an eye out walking down the street we found it without and issue at all.

Lovely stay!

Pros: Overall beautiful village and property! 🩷 Lovely hosts couldn’t fault them Property was super clean and had everything that you would need for the week

Cons: The hill is very very steep to the car park 🤣 no fault to the owner’s tho we was grateful to have a secure place to park our car! The pictures displayed a bath however there was only a shower 🚿 ( which was lovely )

Awesome, excellent etc

Pros: Felt so comfortable and relaxed, the whole place was just so nice and welcoming and the decor was amazing. We just stayed in Polperro and this was a perfect base.

Pros: It gets better every year! The shower room is a huge improvement on last year arrangement and the owners have been incredibly clever with the limited space. It really felt like the fixtures and fittings were luxury. I also appreciated the Cornish welcome pack this year ( nice touch!)

Cons: Nothing it’s absolutely excellent.
