Pros: Fabulous location 👍 also great to have a log burner

Genuine charm experience.

Pros: Perfect position in Port Isaac to explore from. Jacob's Cottage was a very authentic and charming place to stay. Locals were lovely throughout the Port Isaac and The Golden Lion was really lovely to have a drink in. The Port Gaverne pub had an opening night under new management which we can highly recommend to visit. Absolutely loved our stay.

Cons: My family are all over 6.2 feet tall, they regularly hit their heads, but I was perfectly fine 🙂 👍. If you are on the tall side, maybe reconsider your options. The charm of the place was great and was very warm once we worked out the heating. The shower was a bit tight for taller people.

Ideal for a short stay

Pros: Location is excellent. Right in the middle of Port Isaac 5 metres from the pub, the slipway and not much further to all other facilities. You can also it in some of the scenes of Doc Martin :-)

Pros: The cottage allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday.

Pros: Excellent stay! The location is fantastic, only a ten seconds walk to restaurants, pubs, cafe and harbour!

Comfortable and cosy, I would consider staying again.

Pros: The location was amazing, this was my 4th trip to PI and it never disappoints. We found the cottage to be lovely and cosy, with comfortable beds.

Cons: A little more attention to detail on the dusting wouldn’t go astray. The washing machine was an added bonus, but the dryer took around 4 hours to dry one load. The wifi was a total waste of time, but I understand the poor reception in PI.

Excellent location with the best Cornwall has to offer on your doorstep

Pros: Location, cost, down to earth, quirky, well stocked kitchen facilities, at the centre of Port Isaac across from and next to all lovely amenities on offer

Cons: This is nit picking, windows could do with a clean but I’m guessing this would take some upkeep with the weather and location.

Pros: The cottage was lovely and comfortable had everything you needed, and was about 20 steps from the harbor and right in the heart of the little village.

Cons: Could do with a curtain in the downstairs window as people can and do look in as they walk by.

Wonderful cosy off season visit to Port Isaac

Pros: The location was super central, right in the hustle and bustle of the village. I had my cup or morning tea on the sea front a stones throw from the cottage. Pub, cafes, 15 seconds walk Beautiful cosy cottage, log burner, range, quaint kitchen. Perfect for a couple's romantic getaway, a comfy stop if you're walking the coastal path or a small family.

Cons: Very small bathroom with shower only if you're sharing Heating isn't fantastic in the winter Cars and tourists coming down Fore Street can be a bit constant if you're in the cottage. The road is super tight so they come right up to the house. I didn't mind but it may bother some people so worth mentioning. Very steep stairs - again okay for me but worth noting not good for some.

Absolutely loved Port Isaac and staying at Jacob's Cottage.

Pros: This quaint fishing cottage was a special place to stay right in the heart of Port Isaac. Shops and pub right outside the door. Absolutely loved stay in this Cornish village.

Cons: The stairs are very steep and a bit concerning. The bathroom needs renovating. We arrived at night, it was dark and being unfamiliar with the area we did get a little lost but a phone call corrected our directions.
