cosy cottage near Porthleven harbour

Pros: cosy seaside cottage with traditional furnishings. great location, with the beach just in front, 5 mins walking distance to Porthleven and close to the start of the SW coast path. lovely scones provided on arrival.

Cons: property felt a bit damp and not clean in parts. it also doesn’t make it clear that there is another house just in front, so the partial sea view is stretching it a bit- you can only just see the sea out of one window. these downsides made the property feel a little on the expensive side for what we were getting.

A great, quite and beautiful cottage right next to the beautiful Porthleven beach.

Pros: The cottage was lovely, comfortable and so close to the beach. It was a quiet spot and not far from the restaurants and shops in the town. We had cream tea and wine waiting for us when we arrived, which was a lovely treat.

Cons: There was a leak from the bathroom down to the main room on the ground floor. We tried to contact the hosts about it, but they were never in touch and no one came to address it. We used a bucket, but it's definitely something the owners should address.

Great family time.

Pros: Great location, comfortable furnishings home away from home. Lovely gift basket …. Wine, scone with clotted cream and jam ….. really Cornish experience. Kitchen fully stocked Great water pressure in the shower Lovely clean and comfortable beds Overall great design.

Cons: Could not open the windows in the conservatory. Chair in dinning room broken and the others were loose. Same patches of damp on the wall by the fridge and behind the bin. Radiator in the living room behind the radiator cover was dirty and we could not get it to work. Outside washing line was rusted and lying in the outside drain

Pros: Great location and authenticity. Beautiful furnishings and artworks in the cottage . Warm and comfortable. Generous welcoming gifts .

Cons: The seal of the shower wall needs replacing .

Full fisherman's cottage experience

Pros: The whole house was kitted out perfectly, beds were so comfortable, fittings, fixtures and decor were spot on, really felt like a fisherman's cottage so the overall experience was exactly how we were hoping, We had everything we needed and more plus a very sweet welcome pack. The location is also very beautiful, 8 mins walk into the main part of the village and literally 2 mins and you are on the beach. We had a beautiful experience and we will definitely be booking the place again for our own pleasure.

Cons: °Parking was a bit awkward. °The only thing I could recommend is leaving should be 11am not 10am. By the time you've woken had breakfast, had a wash packed plus leaving the house as expected it felt like a bit of a rush, not the best vibe to end the holiday.

Lovely cottage within walking distance of harbour. Great for families with older kids

Pros: V cute cottage, perfect for family of four. Welcome pack with cream tea and wine was a lovely touch. Cottage was just the right size for a family of four.

Cons: A little on the expensive side for the size and style of property but I suspect this is just the nature of the area. Heating was hard to moderate so we found we were either very cold or far too hot

Pros: Lovely comfy beds, bedding and towels were top quality. Shower...best ever. Nice to have a welcome pack too.

Cons: Only one of the storage heaters was working and despite calling sykes cottages no-one came to repair. Also due to wind and rain water was coming through upstairs windows.

Pros: Sehr gemütliches kleines Cottage, super Ausstattung, top Lage mit Ozeanrauschen beim Einschlafen.
