Ok but needs a little thought to make it comfy for all generations.
Pros: This place is huge and is ideal for a family getaway. It’s clean and spacious. Beautiful bathrooms. Lovely big outside area for use in the summer. We went for Christmas so could not use the outside area as too cold. Plenty of table and dining chair space, lots of crockery and cutlery etc. Nice wood burner plus heating. It’s in a valley so was quite misty and foggy but that’s due to the weather in December, however bear this in mind for finding it in tha dark.
Cons: As this was a family getaway we had 4 generations of ages with us. Sadly the lodge is not very user friendly for disabled people. Bathrooms have absolutely no handrails and toilets are all low level. It’s a shame one bathroom was not made suitable for disabled guests Plus there are steps down from the dining kitchen area to the lounge with nothing to hold on to. Sofa’s and chairs too low for the elderly but there was loads of space to install a couple of riser recliner chairs for comfort of the elderly, maybe this needs thinking about. Also for a lodge that sleeps 10 the cooker is too small it should have a double oven range style cooker there is plenty of room for one. We struggled to cook for 10 on Christmas Day with one small oven. Logs are not provided which seems silly when the price at Christmas is not cheap. No welcome pack was left as it says in the listing. With a few minor changes this lodge could be fantastic it just lacks thought for the elderly or disabled guests. Also the mattresses are very soft too soft for comfort. Maybe invest in some good sprung mattresses for guests comfort. One thing that needs urgent attention is the hot water in the kitchen it is scalding hot and dangerously over heated. Needs attention before someone gets burnt.

A great stay for large groups
Pros: Great stay at the Hurlers, great rooms and lots of communal space. Kitchen very well equipped, everything you need for a large group. Check in and check out really easy.
Cons: WiFi wasn't free - found out on arrival that you are charged per device per day, phone signal is very poor in the area so not able to use mobile data. No recycling facilities :(

Exceptional property in a wonderful setting
Pros: Lovely location in a quiet and small holiday village.. accommodation was exceptional with all the facilities you need and shops only a few miles away.. communication with host was excellent with recommendations of things to do and places to go available in the welcome pack. We didn't get much time to explore the area immediately around the accommodation but there seem to be some good walks in the area..a simple map/guide to these could prove beneficial to furture visitors.. Would definitely recommend and will also be returning ourselves
