Lovely place to stay, nice rooms, very clean and spacious.

Pros: We have visited the Jamaica Inn many times but never stayed here before. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with fabulous views over the moor. Food at the Inn is very nice but not \

Cons: Staffing levels in the bar.

Loved every minute would highly recommend except for evening Restaurant.

Pros: The Junior Suite was very good, four poster bed, roll edge bath and separate large shower with his and hers sinks all spotless. Warm welcome at Reception and all staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Museum very good. Would stay again. And thanks to house keeping who had written a welcome message on a complimentery pad.

Cons: Disappointed with restaurant, the A La Carte menu was very limited. We chose the Tomahawk pork chop which was very tough and unable to cut with knife provided, I had to ask for a steak knife to make progress. When the meals first came out the vegetables were cold and my meal had to be returned to be reheated, my wife ate hers being cold as she did not want her food messing with. For dessert I asked for upside down pineapple sponge with custard and received ice cream so that was returned and brought out again with custard which meant my wife and I had to eat our meals separately. I was told they would knock the coffees off the bill but only one was removed £3 ? The only other gripe was no plant based yogurt for breakfast.

I loved it and shall be back.

Pros: The receptionist with short hair and glasses was very welcomeing, apolpgirsed for thr eait as a few people had all turned up at once. But that wasnt her fault, she was kind and patient. Meg the bar maid was so lovely, polite and friendly. A busy time there but was not flustered.

Lovely place to stay with high quality food

Pros: It may be in an isolated position on Bodmin Moor but Jamaica Inn is a cosy and welcoming place to stay. Every member of staff made sure that everything was just right both on the hotel and the pub/restaurant side. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast the next morning. We are already hoping to come and stay again this year.

Cons: Nothing to dislike.
