Detached Home Close to the Beach Newquay

Pros: Spacious, well-equipped kitchen (apart from comment below) and living area. Well-situated, 1 mile from Porth beach. nice garden.

Cons: No facility for brewing coffee, apart from a saucepan. Barrier over the stairs on the landing was too open and dangerous for small children (vertical drop to the floor below). Bath is free-standing and can move on its feet if pushed (e.g. when being leant on to bathe a small child), possibly causing a leak. Needs to be fixed in place on the floor.

Perfect Coastal Base with Home-from-Home Comforts

Pros: A clean and well equipped house that feels like a home from home. Located in a peaceful little village with a friendly local pub, it offers safe parking and is perfectly positioned for exploring the Newquay area. Porth Beach is around a 30-minute walk away (just be ready for a steep climb on the way back!). I also tried a Beryl bike for a bit of fun. My daughter and her friend were in town for Boardmasters, which was just a short hop away — super convenient! Cons: Honestly, everything was lovely — the only niggle was that the Wi-Fi was slow at times, though we could still stream Disney+ with some patience. Also, while the property feels very private, it’s worth noting there are two apartments located below.

Great location, easy access to Newquay and good size.

Pros: The property is in a good location as it’s only a 5 minute walk from the nearest pub and a 10-15 minute walk to the bus stop for Newquay. The size was good and it had everything you needed. The owners left us a bottle of wine, biscuits and milk ready for our stay.

Cons: I would say the property could have been a little cleaner in the living room, the floors were a little dirty. The bedrooms could have been made more stylish with a change of bedding.

Pros: The property was beautiful, there is a garden where you can sit & listen to peace & nature doing its thing. The host was very thoughtful & left a bottle of wine, scones, jam & clotted cream. There were other essentials left like loo roll, soap etc. There is a family pub 10 minutes walk for good pub food. Newquay is literally a 10 minute drive & the property is close to main roads if you want to explore Cornwall by car. I would definitely book again. Top marks!

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay, we used the property as a base to visit lots of other places around north Cornwall. it did exactly what we wanted, lovely quiet location with a great pub very close by. Everything was clean and well presented and the small welcome gifts were a lovely touch.

Pros: The house is ideally located just a short drive from the beach and close to local shops and restaurants. We had an amazing stay, and the house exceeded our expectations in many ways. The kitchen was fully equipped, the property was spotless upon our arrival, and the linens and towels were fresh. The host also left us a bottle of sparkling rosé and biscuits as a welcome gift. They were incredibly responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable holiday retreat
