Field View

Great value for money and a very comfortable place to stay.

Pros: It was clean, cosy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was very well situated to enable us to visit our son and a few beaches.

Cons: The shepherds hut had everything we needed to make it a great trip away from home. It was very clean and cosy.

Lovely owners, lovely stay, warm in winter!

Pros: Nicely secluded, warm, all families included, can stream from EE to bed TV or Starlink even better, quirky shepherd hut which added to the experience, bed very comfortable.

Cons: It wasn’t a major thing but it has a little overgrown patch if I needed to let dogs go to toilet in night, if that area was improved it would be really good.

Hidden gem!

Pros: So peaceful, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.

Break in Polgooth

Pros: The location was lovely and quiet and the hut was lovely inside. The garden area was decently secure for our 2 dogs, but wouldn't stop a doggy Houdini! The local beaches were close to hand and easy to find, and the food options nearby were vast.

Cons: It was very hard to find, a What-3-Words would help here. Phone signal on EE was very poor, but ok on Three (nothing the owners can do about this, they don't even have good internet in their house!). Bear this in mind if visiting! Cooking facilities were basic, but better storage in the bathroom would be helpful (behind the door would be a good location for a larger cupboard). We also lost a phone briefly down under the rear section of the bed, and it was a right pain to fish out. Some outside lighting would be good also.

Quaint and peaceful

Pros: Very comfortable with everything you need. Hosts were very kind.

Cons: Very difficult to find the property. Direction for check in said key would be at reception but there was no reception and no-one home and I had to wander around til I found the hut which was through the garden. Luckily it was open and the key was inside. It isn't actually off grid as announced and although adjacent to a field I was disappointed there was no access to it and only a limited view.

Really good break and would go there again quite happily.

Pros: It was so cute, had everything you needed for a comfy stay. The bed was a little high as I am only 5ft and a sneeze. Everything was designed for a quiet country break with busy towns and plenty of eateries and the beaches -not far away if you wanted them.

Cons: Um, it rained.

Peaceful Retreat

Pros: Field View was charming and the location very peaceful. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The location was great with lots of nearby walks to enjoy with my dog.
