Superb family getaway

Pros: The accommodation exceeded my expectations: it was very clean, well appointed and laid out. Hosts' communication was clear and prompt. I was offered a complimentary interim clean, which was a lovely touch. The kitchen was well equipped and the water pressure in the bathrooms was great.

Cons: The location suited me well: I prefer driving out to visit sites while on holiday as opposed to staying in the middle of towns. That said, it is worth bearing in mind that the accomodation is on the outskirts of St Ives, and the walk to town is down a steep hill with sometimes narrow sidewalks. The accommodation is also very close to a country road, so the occasional loud bike is audible in the road-facing bedroom (1 of 3).

Pros: The property was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The location was quiet, and within walking distance of the amenities that we required.

Enjoyable stay - well presented house. Long walk to St Ives.

Pros: Well presented house. Clean and comfortable. Lovely little touches around the home to make the stay more pleasant. Smart TV- able to sign into Netflix. TV in every bedroom. Quiet area. Lovely welcome pack with tea, coffee and biscuits. Milk in fridge. Information file and lots of info leaflets which were helpful in relation to things to do in the area.

Cons: Check in is very late 5pm which is unusual as normally rental check in’s are between 2-3pm. Check out is early 10am especially when the cleaners don’t arrive to clean until after 4pm. No microwave at house which would be a very useful addition. Walking distance to harbour was too far so we either had to take Car and park or phone taxi. This wasn’t an issue but incurred an extra cost of approximately £20 a day for 6 people to get to and from the Harbour. Car parking space for 1 car only. Luckily the neighbour who didn’t have a car was very accommodating and allowed us to use part of their drive.

Pros: well equipped, lots of room, well decorated and spotlessly clean.

Cons: it was a little bit of a long walk and all uphill on the return from st Ives. but parking does allow you to take your car if required. just limited car parking in at Ives so we chose to walk.
