You essentially pay for location. If that's the most important thing for you, go for it
Pros: Location close to beach and restaurants. Nice view if you don't mind the crowds. Kitchen equipment Living room size. Heater in the room if needed
Cons: 1. Dirty window towards the sea/beach (bird poo) visible on arrival with a note saying the windows are cleaned only every 2 weeks. We had 1 week stay and nobody cleaned them... No naughty bird around either. No instruments are available to even attempt to clean it ourselves. 2. The main entry door was also dirty. 3. Carpet outdated 4. Difficult access to all sides of the bed, very small room for sleeping and we were not big. 5. Not very clearly documented on Booking.com advert was the separation between the sleeping room and the living room, where strangers can pass by through the corridor as the next floor would be given to other costumers and so you may end up locking the doors between the 2 during the day, not just the night. We had only 1 set of keys. 6. Very crowded area, offloading luggage in the middle of the crowd(most crowded area of St Ives during normal hours) because you can enter only from 4 p.m.. Would be less crowded very early in the day or very late in the night but you cannot fully estimate your time of arriving and you will be keen to find parking which is difficult late in the day as nobody is living the parking that late once they parked. 7. Parking isn't far, but 10+£ per day is added to your initial pay for the studio. It is very hard to find any place to park on any day in St Ives. It is so hard, you may not be keen to travel by car in the surroundings as it is difficult again to find a space to park on return. 8. TV and CD player in the living room are not very functional/entertaining. 9. Fake flowers. In general, somehow dusted/outdated atmosphere. Only the glasses and plates looked contemporary.
