Merlin Golf Club and Driving Range is a 5-minute drive away, and Newquay can be reached in 15 minutes by car. Padstow is within a 20-minute drive and Newquay Cornwall Airport is a 7-minute drive from the building.

An excellent staycation

Pros: The facilities and atmosphere are fantastic, very attentive and friendly staff. The food was absolutely wonderful, a real credit to the kitchen team. Will come again.

Cons: £30 for the hot tub seemed a pinch when they're mostly not being used.

Pros: A huge thank you to all the staff at the Scarlet hotel for making our wedding anniversary so incredibly special. We got engaged there 10 years ago and for our 8th wedding anniversary my husband took us back. From the moment we walked in it was so special. Bex greeted us and was lovely; warm, friendly and professional. Our room was beautiful and the spa was exactly what we both needed. Everything was spotlessly clean and the whole place positively exudes really thoughtful personal touches. We had dinner that night and the food was outrageously good! Tristan in the restaurant was brilliant, his eye for detail impeccable, as were all of his recommendations. Thank you ALL so much for making our wedding anniversary unforgettably amazing!

Fully recharged and ready to start work again on Monday.

Pros: Just getting away from work & enjoyable the peace & quiet of nature was breathtaking. Just looking at the sea was mesmerising, certainly great for ones health & wellbeing.

Cons: I liked everything about Scarlet Hotel, Staff, facilities,food & location were just incredible. There was nothing I disliked.

Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing, fabulous staff, enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing spa treatment

Pros: Fabulous location, beautiful room with superb views and easy access to wild nature friendly gardens and beach. Great shower, comfy bed.

Cons: No Tea/coffee in room, shower/shampoo in wasteful plastic bottles, prefer a dispenser.

Perfect location and incredible staff.

Pros: The area was beautiful, the hotel exceptional, and the staff beyond words.

Cons: Everything was perfect. When a scheduling error arose due to their system for the space, they rebooted us at no additional fee and provided complimentary drinks.

Spectacular Cornwall Stay

Pros: The location is spectacular, the staff are always friendly, helpful and courteous. The building is interesting, lots of balconies, quiet rooms and good facilities. All really helped by mid February bright sunlight and the bonus of being able to whale watch from the coastal path.

Cons: Only disappointment is the style of the dishes available. Slightly too much dressing on salads, too rich sauces on mains. Simpler, paired back options would be appreciated. However, the sister hotel Bedruthin does provide a good menu choice in the cafe.
