Great cottage in Boscastle

Pros: Lovely cottage in the pretty village of Boscastle. Cosy and spacious. Useful to have 2 toilets. Well equipped kitchen and tvs in most of the rooms. Walking distance to coast and shops.

Cons: Parking was an issue, unfortunately. We knew there wasn't a dedicated space but faced hostility from neighbours up the street when carefully trying to park. We were sure not to park where there were no parking signs but they made it clear that we weren't welcome to park anywhere on Old rd . Forrabury Hill led up to another steep hill where we could park and so this worked...except for our poor burning clutch! I think the owners could consider trying and secure/rent a dedicated space for their customers, even if it's a bit of a walk away. The house was great...maybe due an end of season deep clean and a few maintenance bits but it was basically fine and we really enjoyed our stay.

A good house in great location

Pros: Lovely location, just up the hill from the lower village. Very quiet.

Cons: Was a bit surprised no bath towels were provided for guests - wasn’t clear in the listing. It’s a long way to go to not have brought towels! Parking is a challenge but that is true for the whole road.

Pros: Lovely and clean. Plenty of room. Great location and fantastic views from the terrace. Perfect for my family get together. Cottage is in a great location for access to local areas and Boscastle has great pubs/food.

Cons: No clear instructions about recycling and available bags to do so. Had no or little hot water during our stay due to the immersion heater breaking. Kay did all she could to fix it but difficult over a weekend. We managed ok. Would have liked some more details regarding rubbish collection, where immersion heater switches were/fuse board etc and parking options/restrictions etc. Small bedroom mattress very uncomfortable. Definitely need a car to get around. Nearest big supermarket 30 mins away in Wadebridge.
