The Surf House (Widemouth Bay)

Pros: Fantastic location overlooking the beach, and a beautifully presented property. Bathrooms and kitchen were spotlessly clean and lots of things were provided to make life easier on arrival - dishwasher tablets, coffee pods, teabags, bin liners, biscuits.

Cons: Nothing we didn’t like - but just a couple of things which would have made it perfect. We would have preferred to be able to have a shower in the en-suite of the main bedroom but there was just a bath - so we asked our daughter each day if we could use the shower which was joined to her bedroom. Also - no fridge door shelves in the kitchen fridge to store liquids such as milk upright. So when making a cup of tea or coffee in the kitchen we had to walk to get the milk from the utility room down the corridor. Just minor points though.

Highly recommended!

Pros: A lovely property just 5 minute walk from the beach. 'Check in' was smooth, the host was helpful and the house was great. It was clean and spacious and facilitated beach trips well with an outdoor shower to rinse off with.

Cons: The only slight downside was that the beds in the twin room are a little small. Not a problem for kids, but if you're 5'10\

Pros: Very homely and had all that you need for a fab stay, beds were comfy and the view out of this world!

Amazin stay, especially as the weather wasn’t the best, but we could things in the house!

Pros: Everything location fab. Had all the facilities we needed for our two weeks sat! Even our dog had a great stay and settled well.

Perfect beach house location.

Pros: Excellent location to the beach. 5 minutes drive to Bude. House much bigger than the photos and very well presented throughout.

Cons: Sometimes quite a strong smell from the boiler and some of the amenities had issues.

Pros: The property was clean and spacious with everything we needed. The location is absolutely amazing with the beach being around 2 minutes walk away!

Cons: There is nothing to dislike about the property. We’ve had a great stay.

We wished we could have stayed longer. It was a very comfortable home from home.

Pros: Everything was very good, pleased to have a few things like laundry detergent and bath products as we’re international guests so didn’t have room to travel with a lot of self catering items.

Cons: Couldn’t find any suitable microwaveable dishes, but maybe we couldn’t find them as there’s lots of cookware.

Pros: The house was amazing, clean, and fully equipped- my whole family loved the views the house gave, and the back garden was wonderfully cared for. Will definitely visit again.

Overall experience was very good we had good weather which helped with the enjoyment. The location is just amazing.

Cons: One comment is the property is described as being able you accommodate up to 6. Sofa bed upstairs is small and not very comfortable.
