The Observatory Tower

A unique place to stay ( and keep fit!!)

Pros: Novelty staying in a tower and the observation room had incredible views. Property tastefully decorated and plenty of storage space.

Cons: Just little things such as a tatty info file, no instructions re microwave or hob top, no recycling bin.

What a view!

Pros: A fantastic week in a unique location. Perfect for the two of us. Comfortable. Super amenities. And the view from the top was to die for!

Cons: It was sad that the advertised camera obscura was not available but didn't really detract from the other features of the tower.

Pros: It was an unforgettable experience. The property itself was unique — charming, cozy, and very comfortable. We were greeted with fresh flowers, complimentary cookies, and local apple juice in the kitchen, which was such a thoughtful touch. The view was breathtaking. Watching the town wake up from the observatory floor in the morning, reading a book with a cup of tea, or simply cooking dinner while looking out at the sea were all magical moments. I’ll miss this place and truly hope to return.

Cons: The number of stairs could be challenging for some visitors. Keep in mind that the tower sits on a hill, so you’ll need to go up and down the stairs every day, and there are additional stairs inside the tower itself. But it is totally worth it — unless you have health concerns that make climbing difficult.

Amazing and something a bit different

Pros: Amazing property. Out fitted to a very high standard with some great design features. The view is stunning and the whole place feels special. This is something a bit different and will be remembered for a long time.

Cons: Street parking in Falmouth can be a pain and you may have to drive round to find a spot. Its not the end of the world but something to be aware of, it would not stop me going back.

An absolute stunner of a property for those willing and able to climb lots of hills and stairs!

Pros: A breathtaking location in central falmouth. Beautiful decor and amazing restored observatory tower where we enjoyed a drink as we watched the sunset and admired panoramic views.

Cons: You need to be fit!! Lots of stairs in the property (its a tower of course!) but also it is at the top of the hill and the rest of falmouth is at the bottom. Also no parking nearby, although we easily parked for free a few streets away. All of this was no problem for us but please do take into consideration when booking.

Beautiful property, stunning views!

Pros: The property was absolutely amazing. It was beautifully furnished and very thoughtfully equipped. There are a lot of stairs (which will keep you fit) but the views from the top are nothing short of stunning! Hope to go back again very soon!

Traumhafte 360° Aussicht - einzigartig!

Pros: Der Ausblick ist natürlich unbezahlbar und wahrscheinlich einzigartig. 5 1/2 Etagen für eine Ferienwohnung sind genauso unüblich und natürlich mit etwas Fleiß verbunden, zumal die Treppen auch recht steil sind. Der Aussichtsturm wurde aber sehr durchdacht umgebaut, die Etagen sind sinnvoll sortiert. Unten beide Schlafzimmer je mit Badezimmer, dann Küche, dann Wohnzimmer und ganz oben logischerweise der 360° Ausblick. Modern eingerichtet aber stellenweise auch schon etwas abgewohnt. Trotzdem alles vorhanden und gut eingerichtet. Parkplatz war kein Problem, in den Straßen der Umgebung war irgendwo immer etwas frei. Und Laden kann man auch direkt vor dem Haus, die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen Einbahnstraße.

Cons: Stellenweise hätte es etwas sauberer sein können (Boden der Dusche). Ansonsten sollte man sich im Klaren darüber sein, was man da bucht. Aussicht gibt es nicht umsonst.
