Great location for a family holiday
Pros: We stayed for three nights while visting family in Hayle. So the location was great for us. Easy access to St Ives on the train from St Erth. The cottage was warm and the open fire was a bonus. We were left some logs and were able to purchase more locally. Could park next to the cottage which was great as parking in the road would be difficult. Kitchen was really well stocked with crockery, pans etc. We didnt do any cooking so can't comment on the cooker and the outside utility door was jammed so we couldn't access it. Hayle has a beach, plenty of shops and takeaways and easy access to the A30 so ideal for a family holiday.
Cons: Minor niggles really. The kitchen and bathroom are fine but the rest of the property is definately looking a bit tired. The sofa had tape stuck on where the leather had split and when I pulled the curtain back it came off the rail as there was not stop on it. My daughter slept in the third bedroom as the window in the other double wouldnt shut properly so it was really cold in there. This third bedroom was very basic. No mirror or bedside table. The other rooms had over the door mirrors and flimsy basic clothes storage though there is ample room for proper furniture. Really had to watch going down the stairs as two of us cracked our heads on the beam and we are short people, it needs some padding or a warning sign. Some basic updating would make the world of difference to this great little property.

Very enjoyable stay
Pros: Location was as we expected being familiar with the area. Contact from the host was excellent and we were even able to access property a little before the designated time. A fire had been set in the grate with an extra bag of logs and kindling provided. A welcome cream tea, was in the fridge with 2 pints of milk and a box of tea bags and a jar of coffee. We were slightly concerned about parking when we arrived but this in the end was not an issue. Property was short walk to a Chinese take away and fish and chip shop and 2 pubs. At approximately £50 per night with the little extras it really was super value
Cons: Just to warn those who are over 6foot the ceilings and doorways are not that high so at 6ft 4 I was stooping quite a bit and did bang my head a few times, But it is an old cottage so that is to be expected.

An amazing and beautiful cottage, most stunning beach close by!
Pros: Really felt like a home from home. A lot of thought about all the things a family would need for a comfortable stay! Even cooked a Christmas dinner there, plenty of cooking pots, trays etc.
Cons: Nothing to say!
