The Cowshed - Cottage in Cornwall

Cute and cosy , perfect base for exploring Cornwall , would definitely go back

Pros: Very clean and well presented , everything you need for a comfortable stay

Cons: My partner is very tall and struggled with a low bed , but we understand the need for a low bed is the bedroom

Very lonely cottage lovely hosts and very accommodating hosts

Pros: It was a loverly cottage very homely, nice location

Cons: There was no instructions on where to park the car and no instructions on how to use the cooker, no dishwasher and the gate was very stiff to unlock from the inside, would of liked to of had instructions on how to open the gate.

Perfect little cottage with easy access to the lovely north Cornish sites

Pros: A lovely, comfortable cottage, in a beautiful location. Perfect if you are also taking a dog, with a secure private garden

Cons: If I had to say anything it would have been nice to have had a microwave other than that everything else was great.

The perfect haven for a few days away.

Pros: The cowshed had all we needed for a quiet and comfortable few days. It was warm and cozy, beautifully appointed, with all the essentials provided; an excellent mattress was a bonus. There was enclosed space for our dog too, and a further bonus a field designated for us to run him off lead.

Cons: The only possible thing that I can think of that we might choose differently was the location which meant we had to take the car for any activities offsite owing to its distance from pub, shop, beach etcetera. However, it is a quiet and secluded spot, very peaceful and calm, which we enjoyed very much.

Just wonderful!!

Pros: The cowshed is a beautiful little cottage in a gorgeous location. The hosts Kate and James were welcoming and friendly. It is a peaceful place and our doggies loved it there. We would definitely stay again. The cottage was very clean and the garden was lovely. The cottage was a good base for travelling to different parts of cornwall like Bude, Tintangle, Padstow, Looe. The facilities overall were very good. The shower had good power and the layout of the cottage has been thought out well to make the most of the space. We enjoyed coming back in the evenings and resting on the sofa and watching a bit of telly. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cons: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. What would have improved it more would have been: A higher bed, which isn’t as low down as the current one. This would create storage space under the bed, and avoid me catching my head on the side of the drawers in the night. The bottom of the square trellis in garden being covered to stop small dogs like our miniature dachshund escaping from the garden. We could let our Beagle off fine in the garden but unfortunately we had to keep our mini dachshund on a lead. A microwave in the kitchen to quickly heat things up. A small poof/foot stall to put your feet on when sitting on the sofa. Maybe consider adding some more garden furniture like a ratten sofa and fire pit etc.

Pros: The fact that it was out in the countryside. I was given some good tips on ideas of where to go by James. Bed was so comfy.

Cons: The early morning wake up call, by the peacock 🦚

Short summer stay

Pros: Had a lovely stay location is perfect short drive from both bude and tintagel and local pub serves great food and drink .cottage is very clean and modern inside with a beautiful surrounding .
