Very easy access to centre in a quirky, pretty cottage

Pros: Beautifully furnished and very homely, very comfortable lounge.

Cons: Small bed, sloping due to uneven floors, seagulls extremely loud, very steep first staircase

We enjoyed our stay at Spa Cottage, it had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday.

Pros: The cottage is quirky complete with wonky floors and old world charm. Its been tastefully decorated with interesting touches scattered throughout. The location is perfect. It is extremely close to the port, shops and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped and has everthing one needs for meal preparation. Complementary tea, coffee, cooking oil and sundry items were very welcome. The water pressure in the shower is good and we appreciated having a washing machine and drying rack. We had an issue with the hot water that was resolved and compensation given for the inconvenience. The host was very reponsive and professional. The cottage was clean and tidy and the homely touches made it a welcoming place. We enjoyed our 7-day stay.

Cons: The rooms in the cottage are located over three floors. I would not recommend this cottage to anyone with mobility issues due to the narrow, steep stairs. However, the stairs wouldn't be an issue for others. We found the bed to be a little uncomfortable due to indentations in the mattress. The courtyard and pathway to the cottage were littered with stacks of cardboard, old crates and some building refuse and timber which detracted from its appeal. However, to be fair, it appearred that the mess belonged to other residents who shared the courtyard. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

Pros: We had a lovey stay the cottage has tonnes of character and the location is really central which we enjoyed so we could easily pop to the shops etc. It's well equipped and had everything we needed. Communication wiht the host was excellent and we were offered a late check out without asking, which was appreciated.

Cons: The location is tricky to find, as the property is set back in a small steep courtyard, which set back from a single carriage road with two way traffic so very difficult to find a way to unload the car, once we'd worked out where to pull over to unload (where traffic could still pass) we then got shouted at by 2 passing locals for \

Fabulous cottage.would definitely comeback

Pros: Cute, quaint, quirky, a great place to stay. So close to the port, restaurants, bars.

Cons: The heating was great and not so good. Had to turn the heat up in the kitchen and leave the shower room door open because we couldn’t get the radiator to work in the shower room.
