Lovely property in an enchanting village with an ever present history.

Pros: Loved Port Isaac. Absolutely fell in love with the area. It was beautiful and was pleased we visited in the winter. Met some locals, who were all lovely. Both pubs have excellent food with very well thought out menus. The house was in a perfect position and was well played out. Take the time to look into the history of this beautiful town, its not just about Doc Martin.

Cons: Would have liked a warning or email from the managing real estate about the logistics of its location. We arrived in the dark and were thankful to bump into the local surf boat club members to assure us we were going in the right direction. The roads only just fit 1 car and we had a van so it was so close we needed someone on foot to make it to the property without taking the paint off but we got it done. This was a bit of a pain but this feature is also one of the quirky features we loved about the main village.

Das war Cornwall hautnah mit allem was wir uns vorgestellt haben.

Pros: Das Haus hat eine einzigartige Lage. Man hat einen tollen Blick auf das Meer und den Hafen. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Bäder sind gepflegt, das Wasser heiß. Die Betten sind gut und es ist viel Stauraum. Die Küche ist zum selbst kochen sehr gut ausgestattet.

Cons: An der Unterkunft hat uns alles gefallen. Es ist 1 Parkplatz dabei. Das Nebenhaus Folly 1 hat 2 Parkplätze. Das Nebenhaus war bis Samstag frei und damit auch 2 Parkplätze nicht genutzt. Am Mittwoch kam eine Dame vom Reinigungsteam und teilte mit, dass an diesem Tag neue Gäste anreisen und wir die Parkplätze räumen müssen. Das ist für uns selbstverständlich, wenn Gäste kommen. Tatsächlich erfolgte die Anreise wie geplant erst am Samstag. Das ist kein Art mit Gästen umzugehen.
