The Mill, Trethevy
Pros: Location is strategic and clear instructions on how to get there from both Boscastle and Tintagel. The house is clean and spacious. Plenty of plates, cutlery and kitchen utensils for cooking at home.
Cons: The stairs are too squeaky. The parking space is a bit exposed.

Lovely property but chilly
Pros: The property was spacious, very clean and well equipped. It sits right on the footpath to St Nectan’s Glen and has a view overlooking the sea. Its minutes into Tintagel for the castle, pubs, pasties, cream teas and supplies.
Cons: Our stay (early June) was marred by the fact that, despite plenty of clothes and extra blankets, we were cold nearly the entire week. The owner has control of the heating both the timing and the thermostat. To increase either you have to text. But it was never sufficient. It’s an old stone building and needs a good heat up. My advice would be to take a fan heater!! Likewise with the hot water - two showers and one washing up and it’s gone. As others have mentioned, the bed is practically on the floor, so be aware of that.

Pros: A good location for nearby walking trails and centrally located for day trips in Cornwall.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.

Lovely but….
Pros: The Mill is in an excellent location on the north coast of Cornwall and about a mile outside of Tintagel. That part of the coast is spectacular and in particular we loved Rock Valley which is close by. The accommodation was spacious and clean and met our needs well. Downstairs there is a well equipped kitchen and we appreciated the chocolate, biscuits and tea/coffee facilities which are a lovely touch. Upstairs is spacious with an en-suite shower room and Juliette balcony. Matching bedroom furniture.
Cons: Other guests have mentioned the bed is very low to the ground, the fan oven doesn’t work and that you need to be careful not to drain the hot water tank with consecutive showers and washing up. My bigger concern is the rough track to the property parking space which is extremely uneven and has caused several hundred £ worth of damage to the alloy wheels on my Mini. We couldn’t have been more careful driving to the space which is next to a wall and in front of a spring. If there had been heavy rain I’m not sure it would be passable. In summary, this property is lovely but best suited to small, fit people who drive a small 4X4 and don’t take long showers.

Excellent - would book again.
Pros: Visited for coast walking so the location was excellent. Also a short drive to Tintagel and Bude. Excellent facilities and warm and cosy even when cold outside. Very generous yard space which includes a shed for drying wet clothes - useful after a day on the coast path. Easy parking.
Cons: The minor road leading to this property (and others) would need some repair as there are some quite large potholes. Need to drive with care. It is only a very short distance however.

A very enjoyable, restful holiday. The cottage is close to the coastal path giving amazing views!!
Pros: The location was excellent, brilliant for walking the coastal path. To have St Nectan's Glen on the door step was an amazing bonus, a visit is a must!! The property was clean and tidy with everything you would need to make an enjoyable holiday. A very comfortable bed, good shower and plenty of space throughout.
Cons: There are no negatives!

A lovely break and would recommend.
Pros: Location, very clean and well equipped. There was everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.
Cons: We weren't prepared for the height of the bed which proved to be a challenge. However, once in, it was very comfortable.
