The Galleon Inn

Great weekend, comfortable and friendly hotel in a brilliant location

Pros: Great breakfast with staff who were highly efficient and so friendly. The dining room looks out on the estuary, beautiful

Pros: Room overlooking the estuary was wonderful. Breakfast pretty good too

Cons: Dinner in the bar wasn't that great. It was ok, but if you want a nice evening out, perhaps not the best option.

Pros: Lovely staff (and immediately remembered who you were/what room/how you took your coffee etc!); great central location (pub below but it did not disturb at all); tidy, practical, cosy, warm room; good shower with nice smellies :); decent, freshly cooked breakfast.

Cons: Slightly short breakfast period of one hour (but understandable as only two staff on duty who seem to do everything!); some of the bathroom towels could do with a refresh/being replaced; my room unfort overlooked the next-door house but there are of course rooms with better views, probably for couples, families etc.

Pros: Lovely modern rooms in harbourside pub. Great spacious shower, quiet at night and good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Cons: Pillows weren't comfortable and room was very hot despite no heating on and it being a cold night

Perfect place for a few days in Fowey. Room was beautiful with stunning view.

Perfect for visiting Fowley with a couple of things to know in advance.

Pros: In the heart of Fowey, large room with a comfortable very large bed. A fairly modern en-suite. Great views from the 2 windows. Excellent breakfast. Space for storage.

Cons: Although shown in some picture, the rollout bed on the floor is not suitable when the triple is shared by 3 adults. The shower - inside the bathtub- has very little pressure making it difficult to shower. Our room was at the top floor and steep flights of stairs may be difficult to climb. The price of our room didn’t seem to reflect that this was a double with an added bed on the floor. All of that said, the Galleon was perfect for our trip to the Christmas market. We loved staying there. Staff was great. The room was beautiful. We definitely return.
