Exceptional B&B, a true recommendation! Wow!

Pros: I normally don’t leave comments, but gladly make an exception for this place. It was a perfect B&B, from a friendly welcome, a stylish room with perfect decorations and great duvet covers/ bed linen, to a royal and lavish breakfast in a pleasant room with again stylish decorations and Christmas themed decorations. This was perfect, we loved it. Thank you!

Pros: My Fiancé and I had a lovely stay at Halwell Lodge. The accommodation is lovely, a beautiful building with beautiful decoration. The attention to detail and decor is beautiful. A lovely bathroom light up mirror, beautiful paintings and ornaments really capturing the beach feel makes it feel comfy and inviting for your stay. The bed was so comfy and the breakfast room was beautiful for our morning breakfasts. The attention to detail of the hosts, so welcoming. Communication with the hosts was easy and welcoming. There was a wide range of breakfast options to choose from and catered to my vegan diet. The hosts were also knowledgeable of the area took and interest in their guests and stays and were able to offer recommendations such as parking areas and local attractions also. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend people to stay at the Halwell Lodge. Thank you for having us. We hope to return soon.

Lovely warm stay

Pros: Breakfast excellent great choice lovely fresh fruit salad, croissants and hot breakfast cooked to order best fried eggs yolk so orange looking.lovely bright breakfast room

A wonderful stay in a British house

Pros: The breakfast ... fresh and local The house ... so British ...I would live there Tressa ... such a nice host and very good cook The location ... parking next to the house, pub in a walking distance, buses to and from St Ives in a walking distance Would love to visit again since there is so much to see and experience and would stay here again The bed linen and towels The information booklet The advice given by Tressa Do not hesitate to book ... good value for money

Cons: Room 1 is quite small for 2 people with plenty of luggage and ensuite too small ... next time I would ask for a bigger room. Wish I could stay longer

Pros: Lovely bright room. Very tasty breakfast with a good choice that we could order in advance. The owner was helpful in giving us information re getting in and out of St. Ives. We had breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the garden.

Cons: The mattress was quite soft.

Pros: A real home away from home. The location was ideal for our stay with easy access to Carbis Bay and St Ives. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast area and conservatory are beautifully furnished. Lovely garden outside with seating areas.

Pros: Halwell lodge is a gorgeous guest house about 12 minutes from St Ives. It was exceptionally clean and extremely comfortable. Our room slept 3 people and there was plenty of space with a comfortable sitting area. We loved the big copper bath in the bathroom. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and presented. There is a beautiful garden space as well. Plenty of parking. The owners were delightful. We can highly recommend as a place to stay when exploring St Ives and the surrounding area

Fantastic lodge, caring hosts, delicious breakfasts

Pros: Very convenient location. Hosts gave us lots of tips about local beaches. We stayed in the triple bedroom which was spacious and clean. Comfortable beds, tv and coffee making facilities in the room. Lovely copper bath, though may not be accessible for everyone due to high sides and low ceiling. Hosts are friendly and very accommodating, and the breakfasts are delicious. Would definitely stay again!

Cons: Everything was great. Only slight negative was no shower head in the bathroom, as there was not enough hot water to fill the bath even half full for three people. It takes about half an hour to reheat, but as we were on holiday and not in a rush it did not cause us too much of an issue.

Pros: Everything, clean, comfortable bed, amazing hosts and one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in a bed & breakfast.

Wonderful relaxing, very comfortable and great VFM.

Pros: The hosts, Tressa & Steve were wonderful hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. The house was wonderfully clean and comfy. Their breakfasts were exceptionally good.

Cons: If we had to be really critical, the en-suite was a little on the small side…….but perfectly serviceable.
