Gwithian Shepherds Hut

Tranquility, quiet, our little family of ducks

Pros: The shepherds hut was so quaint very stylish and comfortable. Everything was there that you could want, from tea, coffee, milk to tea towels. The bed was amazingly comfortable, we were facing a little pond which had a family of ducks. They were very tame and stood outside our door in the morning, this made our stay even better. We definitely would recommend staying here for a few days, the area is so beautiful, picturesque and quiet. You won’t be disappointed, we loved our stay here, a big thank you to the owners who made our stay very special.

Relaxing and the escape from work that I needed, I would definitely stay again!

Pros: Beautiful, peaceful location, the hut has everything you need and more for a relaxing weekend. I would visit again!

Cons: Maybe, upgrade the bed linen, the bed is very cosy and comfortable and the linen was absolutely clean/ fresh; but the bedsheet had signs of fake tan stain from previous guests.

Pros: Great location, good base for exploring surrounding area. Very relaxing and quiet. The hut is small but not overly so, had everything we needed and was nice and cosy. Alan was really friendly and helpful, would go back in a heartbeat!

Cornwall stay

Pros: Our first time we stayed in a shepherds hut, I must say it has everything we need for our comfortable stay in the beautiful area of Hayle . The host was great, wished we had more time for our stay, we hope to come back soon in the future. A great time to spend here if you are visiting Cornwall for a couple of days. I highly reccommending this place the service was 10/10 thank you from us.

Pros: This was a fairytale place, surreal in its beauty, cosy and intimate! Everything was great inside and outside, especially the lake! And the ducklings! We loved every minute of it! We were sad to leave yesterday!The host was great, answered all of my messages and was very helpful. Greatly recommended for a dream holiday! Will definitely come back!

Cons: No phone signal, but I think that is a thing in a lot of places in Cornwall and I do not know if it is a downside, maybe a blessing in desguise. :)) The Internet was working well inside, but the signal was weak when we were outside, at the table-that is the only thing I would say needs improving!

Lovely cosy holiday

Pros: Wonderful stay, comfortable, cosy, and quiet! Would 100% recommend! Owners are extremely friendly and spare no effort to make your stay a wonderful experience.

Petit coin de nature

Pros: Le lieu est très agréable, idéal pour apprécier la nature et l'observer. Le logement est très bien situé et permet de se rendre facilement dans les différents sites alentours. La cuisine est bien équipée, le jet de douche est puissant et les serviettes sont confortables. Le propriétaire répond rapidement en cas de besoin.

Cons: Nous n’avons pas eu de chance car il y a eu un problème avec le chauffe-eau, donc pas d'eau chaude, mais le propriétaire a fait en sorte que cela soit vite réglé. (N’utiliser pas l'application - parfaitement inutile - Sykes, comme suggéré, mais contacter le propriétaire directement). Le lit est assez mou tout comme les oreillers. Un miroir et des portes-manteau supplémentaires pourraient être les bienvenus.

Peaceful retreat

Pros: Beautifully peaceful location yet close to local amenities. Owners very friendly. Exceptionally clean site and hut and decorated beautifully. Would highly recommend 😁

Cons: Perhaps a mirror in the main area in addition to small bathroom mirror.
