Pros: Great location, clean, lovely and modern (for a Cornish cottage in Meva) bright and very comfortable. Home from home really, all the facilities, kitchen appliances were new and we felt welcomed even though we didn't meet the hosts. They left a lovely Cornish Cream Tea for our arrival with delicious local scones. 😋 Big thanks for that. We'll definitely be back! Gill 😊

Lovely private property in a fantastic location would highly recommend
Pros: The location was fantastic, property in very good order and up to a high standard throughout. Really lovely gesture leaving cream tea on our arrival felt very welcoming.
Cons: Front door was a little awkward to open but not much of an issue

Pros: Location good as walking the Coast Path. Good eateries nearby. Car park very close (if pricey!)
Cons: Main TV controls confusing. No views from windows.

Lovely house, great location, and a perfectly pleasant place to stay.
Pros: Very nicely decorated house, clean, welcoming and with all of the facilities and items needed for our week long stay. Kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to cater for the week. The hosts left cream tea items for us which was lovely, and there are a number of unexpected, nice touches in the house - for example extra blankets/throws in the lounge for more cosy evenings. The location is very handy to walk into Mevagissey harbour, and there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and takeaways within a few minute walk. Car parking is 30 seconds walk away, and an extra £8 per day. Previous reviews mentioned the shower as an issue, but we found it perfect - perhaps it had been replaced since.
Cons: We found the economy 7 heating quite hard to understand or adjust, with no obvious instructions. Adjusting the thermostat temperature on each radiator was easy to do, but this seemed to take a couple of days to have any effect - albeit quite a small effect. The outside temperature during our stay meant this was not a real issue, though it may be more of a problem in the colder months. There was an additional oil fired radiator (and a cooling fan) supplied by the hosts which was useful.

Wonderful property, great location, comfortable and full of character and charm… but the bathroom, although adequate, wa
Pros: Very comfortable, well equipped kitchen and complete with books and games. Lovely to have blankets to snuggle in on the sofa although the heating worked well and the house was always a comfortable temperature so more of a luxury than a necessity. Lots of character and charm. Ideal quiet, tucked away location very close to the centre of Mevagissey.
Cons: The bathroom! The toilet seat was incredibly creaky, the shower was a dribble on eco-mode but oscillated between freezing and scalding when on high, the sink mixer tap was very stiff and went from off to gushing loudly in the jerk needed to get it to turn on…

Great property for experiencing Mevagissey in comfort
Pros: This cottage is in a great location for exploring Mevagissey - it is a 3 minutes walk to the harbour which has lots of amenities including bakeries, fresh fish outlets and cafes. There is also a small beach next to the harbour for swimming / paddling. The cottage is comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen diner and lounge downstairs and two bedrooms / main bathroom upstairs on two upper floors, Perhaps a bit on the dark side and there's no outside space, but this is easily compensated by the short walk to the harbour. There's no parking, so park in the Sunny Corner Car Park (across the way from the property) - you can get a week's ticket. The entrance is down the passage next to 47 Old Harbour Cottage sign. So if you want a comfortable stay in a cottage well within easy reach of the pretty Mevagissey harbour this is for you.
Cons: Minor issues - lack of washing up cloths / brush (we ended up buying our own!), heating is by space heaters so could smell a bit damp at times and locking the front door took a bit of getting used to!
