Portbyhan Hotel

Pros: Fabulous location, very friendly staff, lovely room and we were upgraded so we had a balcony which was really appreciated. We also had the Sunday carvery which was delicious and breakfast was great. Couldn't fault anything. 🙂

Beautiful location right on the waters edge - pet friendly but very small bathroom!

Cons: A larger person would have struggled to use the bathroom or even sit on the toilet - it was very small!! The view from our bedroom window was to the rear of the property and was of a wall and plasterboard.

Pros: We originally had a noisey room and with my health conditions that would have been a nightmare but they quickly moved us and were so friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the cocktail was amazing

Cons: Parking but thats not thier fault.

Pros: The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The food and service was lovely and I would be more than happybto stay here again. The location is amazing, right in the hub and beautiful views from the restaurant.

Fantastic venue

Pros: The hotel is lovely, the staff could not be more friendly or helpful. The room was immaculate and the bed so comfortable, with extra pillows if we needed them.

Cons: Having to go home 🏡

Two nights of relaxation in comfortable surroundings

Pros: Comfortable freindly venue in good location with views over harbour. The food at dinner and breakfast were hot and very good quality. The staff were pleasant at Reception, on the Bar and Restaurant making a most enjoyable stay.

Lovely short break, ideal place to stay.

Pros: Very nice, clean, dining room modernised since last stay. Close to all shops, eating places and nice walks.

Cons: Very hot needs air .

Pros: Location was brilliant, although cost of parking on West Looe quay, even for overnight, was absolutely atrocious. Hotels are trying to bring custom into the town but the greed of West Looe Council is totally counterproductive to this. For two nights we parked overnight at Riverside and walked over the bridge back to the hotel. We did not like our initial room allocation as, having paid extra for river view, the windows in the bedroom were too high for me to see through. However, a quick work and our room was changed without delay. A special mention to Sharon who is efficient and certainly knows how to look after your clients, she is always very pleasant and friendly - a credit to the hotel. Well done Sharon.

Long weekend

Pros: The location was perfect to walk into the town centre and the hotel had lovely views over the river from bars restaurant and rooms.Hotel was kept very clean and all staff very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Service for drinks in the bar could be very slow and on one evening when returning back for a last drink before bed I spent 10 minutes looking for the evening porter to service us before giving up and going to bed .
