A quaint peaceful spot

Pros: The hotel was really cosy with welcoming staff. The room was quaint, clean and cosy. The breakfast was freshly made and delicious. I can't fault anything about it, very quiet, peaceful and a beautiful garden. Only a 15 minute walk from St Austell Town.

Well worth it. I would stay there again. However I’d probably avoid the dining. The cost vs quality just isn’t there.

Pros: The location is excellent. The shower in the room was probably one of the best showers I’ve ever used. Room was very clean and very comfortable. The staff were absolutely amazing! Cheerful, kind and just lovely.

Cons: I’d have to say that the prices of the food and drink were higher than I would expect for the quality. The food was good but not amazing or something that I would like to have twice.

Very welcoming stay.

Pros: Location was excellent, good dog walking nearby, staff were exceptionally friendly and made my wife and I plus our two dogs exceedingly welcome. Food at dinner and breakfast very good.

Cons: The weather.

Pros: We ate in the restaurant the first night and it was excellent. We were upgraded to a ground floor room at no extra cost, which was lovely. Everyone we met was really kind and helpful. Our dog was treated like a star the whole time

Cons: The bed was really quite uncomfortable (hard mattress with a centre dip) and I couldn't use the shower as there was no non-slip mat and I have a broken leg so didn't dare risk it

Pros: Everything about this place is exceptional. Right from the warmest greeting through to the final check out is done in a way you want to return. A truly exceptionally warm stay. Superb food and a Guinness better than I’ve anywhere else👍

Cons: Saying good bye.

Pros: Excellent breakfast. Lovely room overlooking a beautiful garden.

Cons: Location. It was sadly raining most of the weekend which meant people staying in the hotel. In these conditions there wasn’t enough seating in the lounge area.
