Cornish Holiday - 100 Hengar Manor

Great short break between Christmas and New Year. Cottage was tiptop. Thanks Helen

Pros: Travelled a long way to get to Cornwall and it was such a relief that the cottage was spotlessly clean, beds and towels all ready and the welcome pack of toilet roll, milk, biscuits and more importantly, Prosecco was such a nice touch.

Cons: Understandably, for December the park facilities were not open. Not a problem but the only downside was the closest pub was a short drive to the next village, or a very wobbly 30 minutes walk back through rural Cornwall. Which would have been great in day light!

Great for family stay

Pros: Cosy, clean and suitable for family, well equipped.

Pros: The location of our little holiday home was lovely. The property itself was exceptional with all that we needed supplied. The area was beautiful and not far from all the places we wanted to go to.

Cons: The food in the onsite pub wasn't the best. The service was a little ad-hoc and slow.

Pros: Beautifully clean, very comfortable, great communication with owners & using facilities at Hengar Manor.

Pros: It's in general a good, well equipped property with all essentials. We found it spacious, nice and tidy. It was comfortable and in a great location. Swimming pool was included and we needed to book in advance in the morning (be prepared for a queue). Kitchen has essentials and some extras, all what we needed. What's app messages were responded to quickly. Welcome and cleaning packs were great and a nice touch. All details in the app sent over text before our stay were very useful and I checked them several times.

Cons: Messages sent through booking were not read or replied to. As we booked through booking it would be good to be able to contact the owner the same way. I didn't like the smell of property. It was cleaned but the humidity and mouldy smell was something that bothered me a lot. At some point we had no hot water or heating but contacted them via WhatsApp and it was sorted quickly.

Brilliant

Pros: The welcome pack of biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a bottle of wine in the fridge was a nice touch. Felt very comfortable and safe

Excellent facilities, accommodation and communication. Would definitely book again.

Pros: The property was extremely well equipped and the owners had thought of everything we needed including heated washing airer and everything we needed in the kitchen to cook family meals. A well laid out property and comprehensive information before our arrival about the property itself and surrounding area. Would not hesitate to book again. We were a group of 5 and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Cons: Nothing! Everything we needed was there and the communication was excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay and will return. Best day out was a visit to the Screech Owl Sanctuary!

Pros: The property was exceptionally well equipped, beds were comfortable, plenty of storage space in the bedrooms and kitchen. 2 large heated towel rails accommodated towels for 6. Small washer ideal for rince and spin of swim wear etc. Lovely holiday park with lots of green spaces.

Cons: The owners have thought of everything that might be needed in the property, full marks to them. We were self catering for 4 adults and 2 children (8 & 12 yrs) so found the fridge too small for our needs.

Perfect long family weekend away to visit family who live in Cornwall.

Pros: The property was like a home away from home. Very clean and cosy. Everything you could possibly need like towels, cups, glasses, and the biggest selection of cooking utensils I’ve seen in a holiday home. We absolutely loved staying here and will be returning.

Cons: There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. The only 2 things I would pick up on are the driveway as it was a bit tricking coming on and off at times and also not having flannels with the towels. Otherwise everything was perfect for us.

Excellent, would definitely return

Pros: Everything was excellent. The owners were nice and easy to approach and left us with lots of provisions, coffee, tea, milk, biscuits. Lots of cleaning products so we had no need to go and buy any of these. The location was fantastic and the amenities excellent. Swimming pool was the best, clean, heated etc. Archery, Golf, Fishing and more

Cons: Just went to the bar/club house once and sadly the food was poor. So we chose not to go back there. There was ample other facilities for use in the area around
