Surf Lookout - King size en-suite with sea views

Perfect retreat for me

Pros: Quiet and in a very good location with great facilities. 10 minutes walk to local Spar shop & 15-20 minutes walk into town. I needed to retreat & it was perfect for one person. I loved listening to the sound of the sea at night. I could quite easily live here, stuff the washing up! I soon felt at home as it was cosy. The shower was fabulous & all worked well. Plenty of loo roll, shampoo & conditioner, bleach & washing up liquid, very thoughtful.

Cons: The directions need to be made clearer, I arrived in a taxi & it was difficult to find as I had to keep wiping the rain from my glasses & phone. Directions need to be given from the eyes of a stranger & made much clearer & perhaps the front door could be painted a noticeable colour. When searching for an address most people use landmarks so this should be born in mind in giving clearer directions. I think the mattress & sofa need updating. The sofa eats you, it was difficult for me to rise from. The bed was big & quite comfy but I could see it was padded well with mattress pad & the sheets didn't fit well. I slept ok but it could have been better.

Great place, location and views!

Pros: What a gem of a place! Compact and clean in an excellent location with stunning views! Lovely, comfortable big bed and modern powerful shower. Enough facilities for a short stay. Great communication from the owner. Loved the outside balcony with sea view. Also lots of little extras like tea, coffee etc and even a bottle of wine in the fridge. Strong, free WiFi and free, safe parking. Would definitely go back again and recommend to others.

Cons: Not a dislike, and it is in the details, but nowhere to cook apart from the barbecue, and nowhere to wash up as one very small sink. Didn't affect us as it wasn't an issue, but just so others are aware. I did notice a strange smell by the locked door at times. Also would be good if you could see out of balcony either from higher outside chairs or lower/ glass wall. Just a suggestion!

Pros: Aaron and his family were great hosts. It's very 🙏 welcoming, too. A surprise of a bottle of white wine 🍷 too It really felt home from home the Suite

Cons: None to comment. It was all in all perfect for us .

Excellent Location, nice cosy room with good shower and comfortable bed.

Pros: The location is perfect, 300 meters from the beach and a 10-minute walk into the town centre. The room is small but cosy, the shower was much better than I expected and the balcony with a sea view was used for BBQing 1 night. It's not a full kitchen but cutlery, plates, etc were provided for microwaving or BBQing. The owners' communication was spot on, they provided all the information required with detailed directions.

Cons: If I had to nitpick, I would say the sofa has seen better days and the bathroom sink is very small but apart from that, I cant fault it.

Nice room with a nice view and good facilities

Pros: Reasonably large room with bathroom and a decking area. Large comfortable bed and had all the facilities you'd need - TV, couch, kettle (with tea bags, coffee and sugar), microwave, small fridge freezer, cutlery, plates etc. On the decking area there was also a gas BBQ available to use.

Cons: Overall is was fine, but a few minor things for me - the curtains were very thin and it meant at this time of the year, the room was light just after 4 am. Wasn't too much of a issue but could really do with much thicker curtains. The main thing was the hand basin - it was tiny and in reality, useless. I know space is obviously limited, but this was ridiculous. While the view of the sea from the decking was lovely, the area below looked like a junk yard. Not sure if the owner has any say in it (in fairness probably not), but it could do with tidying up

A very relaxing break. Lovely coastal walks. Views great. Weather superb. Feel very refreshed.

Pros: It was very clean, loved doing a bbq on the patio and the view is stunning. Catered for self catering well. Nice shower towels provide. So close to the beach. Lovely restaurant on the beach excellent views. Great food ect.

Cons: Not a criticism just to advise people to take provisions or go to the Sainsburys in Newquay 20 mins away if your self catering. Local shop shut down.

Pros: Amazing place, very close to the main beach, clean, friendly owner, super comfy bed, great big shower. Will come back next year!

Cons: -Sink is extremely small, -The walls on the terrace could be smaller or made of glass so that you could see the sea when sitting on the sun loungers

Pros: Perfect location, Aaron was great and easy to get in contact with. The balcony with amazing sea views were worth the money itself. Everything you need and more.

Cons: Could have done with a sweeping brush as we kept walking sand back into the apartment and had no way of getting it out, other than that it was perfect

Pros: Great studio apartment in a fantastic location with a lovely sea view from the terrace. Really fab shower as well.

Cons: If you're wanting to cook though, it may be a bit too small for you as it's a room and bathroom with no proper kitchenette. This wasn't an issue for us as we like to eat out. The satnav didn't give the right location. It's the side door you need to find for entrance to property.

Pros: Das Zimmer war super und in guter Lage. Würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen.
