Wheal Prosper- Beautifully Fitted Wooden Lodge Helston Cornwall

Comfortable base for a two night stopover to see family and lodge was well kitted out

Pros: Convenient for visiting our daughter, son n law and granddaughter in Helston whilst the other grandparents stayed at their house

Cons: Little cold inside when we arrived on Saturday afternoon due to the general low outside temperature and it took some warming up at first.

Excellent stay!

Pros: Beautiful setting, super staff. Very central location for major tourist attractions & towns. Would definitely stay again! 👌

Cons: Nothing really, except gardens could perhaps be fenced in for safety of children & dogs? 🤔

Cons: It said there was a bbq, there wasn’t, and we had bought bbq for for our first night, so ended up having to cook in oven. said washing line, no line so we couldn’t dry our towels, only had 1 set and they got soaked using the hot tub. Just an annoying little thing, no battery in the clock in the wall. Cobwebs up by the top of curtains. The hot tub wasn’t very private, as the fences had gaps and you could see your neighbours, and no gate, so when next door pulled up in their car they could see straight into our hot tub. No reply on the booking app when I was enquiring about where to get clean towels, or where the bbq was etc. it also said board games , so we didn’t bring any, and there were none in the lodge.

We loved our stay and would love to come back, it was perfect for the dog too! We loved the pub on site highly recommen

Cons: The only thing was the garden wasn’t enclosed for the dog but it wasn’t an issue

Great lodge and location!

Pros: We had a fantastic stay, the lodge was great and the location is great for travelling around Cornwall! Not far to Porthleven where there are restaurants and cafes. Perfect for a nice little getaway. If you plan to use the hot tub it takes awhile to heat up so allow a good few hours. Would definitely recommend and come back in the future!

Pros: Well laid out design, cosy, very homely, lovely setting. We had everything we required in the lodge. Very impressed with the complex. We loved it.

Cons: Nothing really bad but if I have to find something… There were a couple of things that needed some attention… the ice box door in the fridge was fixed with black tape; a small shelf for toiletries in the shower room would have been useful; unfortunately, and I’m sure this is a one off, there was a mouldy pasta bake in the top of the oven which obviously the cleaner missed but otherwise the oven was very clean.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful lodge. Clean, warm, cosy! Hot tub is gorgeous. Close to the town. Very private. Self check in and catering which suited us lovely. Easy to check in. Helpful staff member informing us on the hot tub and how it works etc. overall a really lovely stay and we’d love to return in the near future.

Pros: Everything was perfect, staff was great too ! We had so much Privacy, perfect location, will definitely stay again! Perfect for children too !

Cons: The pub nearby was not so great. Facilities were really nice, but customer service was very bad The waiter served us whilst on the phone, and it felt that we were bothering her ! The food took ages to come and was not pleasant at all for all of us and very expensive. Coffee was terrible!!! Would not go there again and do not recommend it at all !!!
