Ocean House

Pros: A lovely little house hotel with warmth welcome self check in, a laundry, a kitchen & table made the holiday a pleasure able change. The lovely lady staff member was so helpful. Guests were quiet & considerate. A lovely place in general.

Cons: There was nothing whatsoever I didn't like at all.

Pros: Good location. Nearby parking (paid but fair cost)

Pros: We stayed in room 5 for 2 nights (luxury double with sea view and balcony) and the view was wonderful, over the harbour below and right out to Goodreavy lighthouse. We loved watching the changing weather. sea and light, the lights at night and the arrival of dawn. The room was very large, with a a table in the bay window. The bed was very comfy with good pillows. Good hot shower. Plenty of shelving and hanging space. The kitchen was a bonus, so we could make our own breakfast with a good supply of crockery, cutlery, glasses and a fridge. The centre of town was just 5 minutes away, and the station an easy walk

Cons: We came on a very cold February weekend but it was warm enough with the extra plug in radiator. The steps are quite steep to the town below but there are less steep routes and the taxi from the centre was only £5 if needed.

Pros: Close to town. Kitchen and fridge/freezer very handy

This is the second time I have stayed at Ocean house and I find it very reasonably priced. It suits my purpose very well

Pros: I like having a room with en suite as well as a shared kitchen. The kitchen is really convenient and is attractive, clean and modern with all facilities. My room had a patio to the back of the house, and it is lovely to have access to the outside.

Cons: The whole place other than the kitchen could do with a coat of paint. The towel rail in my en suite is partly coming away from the wall, although it was firmly attached and not really a problem but should be fixed. Lighting is very dim in the kitchen and in the room. I was struggling to read even with the main light and the bedside light turned on.

Very pleasant, with good views over the town and beaches.

Pros: The location was fine with a long stay car park only yards away. Our room had with ample coffee, tea etc, and the communal kitchen was well equipped and clean.

Cons: It would have been nice to have had a sea view, and a chair in our room.

Pros: The kitchen was amazing as well as the washroom was convenient

Pros: Being on the hill provided a wonderful view and a gorgeous walk down to the harbour. My room was comfortable, cosy and immaculate.

Cons: It's winter so it would have been nice to be able to have used the heating.

Pros: Definitely stay again soon, it was homely, comfortable. My room was exceptional.

Cons: For three days over Christmas the guests had to deal with someone who was unravelling.Once checked out this person continued to remain at the property, hang out in the kitchen uncomfortably, Ate our food, used my bathroom and didn’t want to leave the property.I alerted the company that there could be a safeguarding issue, no one got back to me I work for the NHS and didn’t appreciate my precious leisure time been taken up looking after a stranger.Obviously it was the Christmas period so I understand that staff were not available but you have to have a protocol in placeFor further incidents like this. For further incidents like this.

Pros: A very clean, warm and comfortable place with a generously supplied kitchen area and modern check in system. Ideal for the independent traveller. Quiet area.

Cons: Perfect. Nothing to complain about.
