I had a really great weekend in St Ives and this was in no small part due to my stay at Atlantic Heights. Since I was ru
Pros: The view, responsiveness of the host, amenities provided for eating and comfort, friendliness, location to town centre, value for money.

I stayed here for 2 nights for a 1 day walk on the coast path between Hayle and St. Ives.
Pros: The landlady Mary was very welcoming. The view from my window was fantastic looking down to Porthmeor beach with its huge breaking waves and St. Ives head with the lovely St. Nicholas chapel on top. The room itself was warm and the bedding was too cosy to get out of in the morning. The private bathroom has a lovely bath and shower with plenty of hot water.

Pros: Mary was incredibly welcoming, showing us to our room, carrying our bags & advising us on best restaurants & things to do, as well as directions. The room & bathroom was spotless & the sea views breathtaking.
Cons: The hilly walk back from town centre 😂

Wonderful sea views in comfortable house
Pros: Outstanding views from sea view room. Short (steep!) walk to seafront. Very comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful hostess. Very nice, convenient help yourself breakfast to have in your own room.
Cons: Looks a bit run down from the front, but so comfy and nice inside. You need to be able to climb rather steep staircase.

A hidden gem of a guesthouse! Fabulous.
Pros: Wonderful location, quiet and with the most sensational view of Porthmeor Beach, especially at daybreak, but still easily walkable into town. Mary, the owner, is incredibly helpful and warm and welcomed us with super hospitality. The bed offers a brilliantly comfortable night’s sleep and the room is tastefully and comfortably furnished. Really hope to return!

Excellent, quiet, comfortable establishment conveniently located for the beach
Pros: An excellent establishment located a very short (but steep!) walk from Porthmeor Beach (and within easy walking distance of the other beaches of St Ives). Twin room (1st floor facing rear) was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with good curtains, quiet mini-refrigerator, and en-suite bathroom. Free milk (full fat or semi-skimmed), cereals, oats, coffee, tea-bags available on the ground floor for breakfast or snacks. Car parking for small/medium cars available (pre-booking recommended) in a private driveway opposite the entrance (occasionally, some co-ordination required if parking involves one car in front of another) -- easy for my small Kia Picanto, but tight for larger cars (as forewarned in communications from host). Host was consistently very helpful with advice/directions/&c.
Cons: It is difficult to find fault with the establishment in any shape or form. For those driving, it should be remarked that navigation in the steep streets of St Ives can be tricky -- I memorised the route before arrival, but managed to forget the crucial turning when returning into St Ives from an excursion by car a few days later (having spent the first few days exploring the beaches and the South West Coast Path on foot) -- if driving from the A30 in a small/medium car, I would advise following the main road into the town centre (i.e.: Tregenna Place), then turning left into Bedford Road just before the one-way system starts, then the final few turns are reasonably obvious, apart from Ocean View Drive itself (small side street without a signpost!). For an able-bodied person with not too much luggage (say, a large backpack and a robust four-wheel suitcase), the establishment is within reasonable (if hilly) walking distance of St Ives railway station (had I been travelling alone, I would have gone by train).
