St Mawes Hotel

Pros: Great location, everyone was super friendly and helpful, lovely room with very comfy bed and great shower! Breakfast was delicious too!

Pros: The staff, location and location were all excellent, as was the food.

Cons: Our one grumble was that our room, although beautiful was opposite the kitchen extractor fan, which was left on all night. Despite being assured that it would be switched off at the end of the shift ....it wasn't. It was quite noisy. I did write but heard nothing.

Stunning views and great food!

Pros: The hotel is in a fantastic location with stunning sea views, and we really loved the stylish décor. The room was clean and had everything you needed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was of very high quality. It was also nice to have a separate entrance for hotel guests.

Cons: Check-in was a little confusing as it wasn’t clear that there’s a separate entrance for the hotel, and this wasn’t staffed much during the day. There also isn’t really a bar area to sit and relax in, it's mainly a restaurant. However this won't put us off and we'll definitely return!

Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The staff very friendly & helpful. Our grandsons had a brilliant time because the atmosphere was so wonderful and the family room was perfect & fun.

A Seaside spot that oozes calm and class

Pros: The location is beautiful. It’s right on the sea front and the views from the breakfast room are splendid. The restaurant food is great, and breakfast is really scrumptious. The staff were really accommodative for our family, especially helping us rectify some small issues. They really did go out of their way to help us, especially Ellie and Daisy. The vibe is relaxed, with great music and feeling around the hotel. We went in early July when it’s a little quieter around the area which was perfect. I’d really reccomend this hotel.

Cons: The family room is probably not so good if you have a child that naps. There are two big skylights that have no blind, and in summer this leads to a very bright room until the sun goes down! Which proved tricky with our little one. To be fair though the staff helped us out by putting some covering up there and this did make it a bit better. Other than that the room was really lovely.

Disappointed to pay £400 a night and for it not to be extra special .

Cons: No comfy chairs in room , just one hard chair . Staff member brought us an extra small softer chair No de caf coffee/biscuits in room Fruit not chopped up at breakfast , no granola/ Greek yoghurt

Pros: Ellie in particular was very friendly and had a great idea for a long walk. It was fantastic

Cons: Breakfast was a little limited, some fruit salad would have been very welcome.
