Hotel Tresanton

Wonderful stay in a unique and beautiful hotel with stunning sea views

Pros: The Tresanton is a very individual and stylish hotel arranged over three levels. Everywhere is beautifully designed and comfortable. Wonderful views on the dining terrace as we ate our breakfast over the harbour. Our bedroom had a great sea view and was extremely comfortable.

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Cons: Both of us found the mattress too hard - but that is of course down to personal preference. Missed having a fridge for milk etc

Pros: Hotel was perfect, staff very friendly. Our room was very clean and spacious with a great view of the sea. The food was amazing!

An exceptional hotel in a magnificent setting

Pros: The location and everything about the hotel was amazing. The food was exceptional and beautifully presented.

Cons: Work was being done on a new patio which will have wonderful views of the bay, but sadly was unfinished on our visit.

As exceptional as it always is

Pros: Unique, quirky, comfortable, lots of small zones perfectly blending into each other

Cons: Quite a bit of building work but that’s ok - the builders were really friendly

Lovely place to stay with very nice staff.

Pros: Beautifully kept and spotlessly clean. Very good evening meal and breakfast both days.

Cons: Would have preferred to have the car parked on site but understand why this is not possible. Would lave liked a small fridge in the bedroom to keep fresh milk in. Thought the service charge was excessive.

High quality but not intimidating

Pros: Wonderful sea view from our room. Comfortable, warm, clean and tastefully furnished. Lovely lounge with roaring log fire which we enjoyed with a coffee while awaiting our room key. Attractive restaurant, excellent food and helpful staff.

Cons: Quite an uneven walk (unfortunately in pouring rain) from the main building to our room. Access to the room was via an external spiral staircase. Obviously not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Although umbrellas are provided it was difficult to use these on the route due to the narrow walkway, extensive greenery etc.

Pros: Everything. The location was superb and was made full use of. Breakfast and evening meals on the terrace overlooking the blue sea was relaxed and a highlight of our stay. All the staff we encountered were similarly friendly and relaxed.

Cons: it was a shame the two rooms we were given were not near each other, but this had no impact on our overall enjoyment.

A feel-good hotel. Cruisey vibe, spacious and comfy rooms, and a close to pretty streets and shopping.

Pros: Quirky and comfortable, plus well sized rooms. The restaurant was too pretty and convenient to walk past - we had breakfast and a couple of lunches there. Great neighbourhood for cafes and shopping, with leafy streets to walk in if you want to avoid the Portobello Road hubbub.

Cons: Some of the restaurant staff are a bit junior and get overwhelmed. Customers should be nice!

Beautiful Gem

Pros: Beautiful hotel in an extremely beautiful part of the country. This deceivingly small hotel, which isn't that small one, you get up the steps from the main road is a hidden gem. The hotel manager Karen is a delight to deal with and converse with as are an array of staff, particularly Talin the chap who works the restaurant. Food is impeccable and can not be faulted, nor can its position within walking distance of everything.
