Friendly place to stay in a fantastic location in the centre of Tintagel.

Pros: The location, the warmth of the welcome from the owner, the excellent service and the superb breakfasts. The accommodation was freshly refurbished with comfortable beds and good heating. We stayed three nights whilst walking the coast path and felt that the accommodation represented excellent value for money. Although they weren’t offering evening meals at the time of our stay, there were two other pubs across the road where it was possible to have a meal.

Cons: Nothing - although we would like to have been able to open the window in the bedroom which was screwed shut and there was a lot of condensation in the bathroom despite a humidistat fan.

Way beyond expectation

Pros: Modern, clean and extremely comfortable. In the middle of Tintagel excellent location with fantastic views of the sea. The owner/staff were all really friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough to assist in any way

Pros: Location was excellent and great to have parking. Liked the quirkiness and great that locals used it. The breakfast was amazing!

Cons: Felt a bit damp and probably needs a bit of an update.

Great value break

Pros: Superb location. Plenty of parking available. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful. Full English and cereals provided as well as plenty of tea, fruit juice and toast. Staff were very polite and friendly. Very good value for money.

Cons: Would benefit from having a couple of hooks for towels in the bathroom. A door handle on the cupboard would be beneficial.

Pros: The hotel is central to Tintagel, and has its own parking although the village has lots of pay and display carparks and is not that big. The hotel has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where I felt safe and secure on the premises and in my room which is important as a lone female traveller. I was working at a local event and really rate the breakfast - both delicious and filling, important for being on the go all day.

Cons: It took me several attempts to learn my way back to my room. This is due to the layout of a modernised old building. I'm fit and fully mobile and so found it characterful, charming and saw the funny side of trying to get out of the wrong door yet again. (the staff were really helpful!) If I'd been staying longer it would have become much easier!

Great stay and breakfast for a Tintagel visit

Pros: The room was warm and quiet enough to sleep in. Bed was comfortable and the heating (once worked out warmed the room through out). The breakfast offering was brilliant and was a great start to our day.

Cons: No instructions on how to operate the heating, but figured it out. No drinking glasses in the room and the milk for tea/coffee wasn't sufficient - needed a few more. Very minor, no real desk for check in/out. As I approached the bar to find someone, the cleaner found me and said he could take the key. It was fine, but not very clear.
